Nightmare 1,274: Chancellor Obama!

My Latest Quandry...................

FDR, TV, the Wall Street Crash and 1929 were things that NEVER went together...not even in science fiction!

I think “Ditto Joe” suits Biden well based on his history of plagiarism. However, maybe professor gaffe here deserved a more up to date moniker: “Wikipedia Joe.”

The Beginnings of Socializing Our Economy

$920 Billion More to Bail-Out the World

AIM COLUMN BY CLIFF KINCAID
SEPTEMBER 28, 2008
(article condensed)

With one socialist “bailout” bill apparently on the way to passage by Congress, two more are pending―both of them sponsored by Senator Barack Obama. One is the Jubilee Act, which would cancel as much as $75 billion worth of Third World debt, and the other is the Global Poverty Act, which would cost an estimated $845 billion. Total potential cost: $920 billion.

Meanwhile, in an appearance on the Fox News Channel on Sunday, Republican Rep. Thaddeus McCotter of Michigan called the $700 billion plan now before Congress “Fleece in our time,” a reference to Neville Chamberlain’s “Peace in our time” appeasement deal with Hitler that eventually plunged the world into a World War. The House is scheduled to vote on the measure on Monday.

Calling the deal “Wall Street socialism,” McCotter added, “Now the Wall-Street crony capitalists have put a 700-pound billion dollar bag of dung on taxpayers’ doorsteps, rung the bell, and expect you to thank them when you answer it. I think the American people will believe otherwise.”

But consider what’s going to happen when the American taxpayers realize that more and larger bailouts are on the way.

Commentators such as Andrew C. McCarthy have pointed out that Obama’s Global Poverty Act (S. 2433) would cost even more than the $700 billion that is being proposed as part of a socialist takeover of the U.S. financial sector. Obama’s bill passed the House and Senator Joe Biden’s Foreign Relations Committee and now awaits full Senate action.

But the Jubilee Act (S. 2166), which is co-sponsored in the Senate by Barack Obama, has also passed the House and awaits Senate action.

Republican presidential candidate John McCain is not an official sponsor of the Jubilee Act or Obama’s Global Poverty Act. But the pressure is mounting on McCain, as well as running mate Sarah Palin, to endorse the legislation.

While the Global Poverty Act has started getting more serious attention, the implications of passage of the Jubilee Act have been generally ignored. Yet, a representative of the Treasury Department, Assistant Secretary For International Affairs Clay Lowery, testified at a Senate hearing in April that “The Jubilee Bill represents an unfunded international mandate to fully cancel roughly $75 billion worth of debts owed by the potentially eligible countries to official bilateral and multilateral creditors.” This is on top of the $110 billion in debt reduction already being granted to various countries, he said.

Also bowing to the left, before he came to Washington, D.C. to work on the $700 billion federal takeover plan for the U.S. financial sector, McCain had taken time to attend and speak at the “Clinton Global Initiative,” a campaign underwritten by big companies and rich individuals to promote the pet causes of the disgraced former president. One of these causes has been an international tax on airline tickets to generate funds to fight HIV/AIDS.

Obama, as well as Bono, also spoke at the Clinton event.

On September 25, after conversing with McCain and Palin, Bono and his collaborators were scheduled to hold a “United Nations emergency summit on the Millennium Development Goals.” Bono’s ONE organization described them as “eight goals” that were “drawn from the targets contained in the Millennium Declaration that was adopted by 189 nations―and signed by 147 heads of state and governments during the UN Millennium Summit in September 2000.”

Similar language is incorporated in Obama’s Global Poverty Act, which has passed the House and Senator Joe Biden’s Foreign Relations Committee, and now awaits full Senate action. As AIM has documented repeatedly, a careful analysis of the legislation, as well as the follow-up 2002 U.N. Financing for Development Conference, which was designed to make the “goals” into a reality, leads to the conclusion that the U.S. will have to provide $845 billion in increased foreign aid spending, generated if necessary by a global tax on the American people.

At the Clinton Global Initiative meeting, Obama reaffirmed a “commitment” to “embracing the Millennium Development Goals, which aim to cut extreme poverty in half by 2015.” He added, “This will take more resources from the United States, and as President I will increase our foreign assistance to provide them.”

Once again, observers say, the McCain staffers seem to have tried to strip the Alaska Governor of her conservative core beliefs.

For his part, if McCain backs a financial bailout of the rest of the world, on top of an endorsement of the $700 billion Wall Street socialist scheme, some conservatives are saying that they may start looking elsewhere for a presidential ticket to support.

One place some may look is Chuck Baldwin of the Constitution Party, who has already been endorsed for the presidency by Rep. Ron Paul. Baldwin, calling the Wall Street plan a “fraud” on the American people, has called for “No Amnesty” for the Wall Street “banksters.”

And now it's time for a little culture...

I was listening to the news today going through the recaps of last night's Presidential Debate when I just stopped. I wasn't listening, hearing, expecting, pondering, or anything. I just stopped. I realized I had to clear my intellectual palette of politics for a while and just enjoy what God has blessed His people with. After God and my family and friends, music is a passion of mine. I have performed for as few as one or as many as several hundred. I have tried to compose and arrange pieces with only a personal satisfaction being my goal second to that of honoring God. I have fallen shot on both of those on many occasions. I play several instruments with varying degrees of success but love every moment I am blessed with playing music of one kind or another. There is an almost hypnotic yet mathematically ethereal supplication I have for music in my life and I sometimes have to repent and ask God to forgive me for treating music as and idol. It is God's gift after all.

The way the God has blessed this planet with music will never cease to amaze me. I wonder what Pythagoren must have felt when he heard the mathematic harmony in that single not from his tuning rod. Was it a moment when he could sense God's mastery in one simple note? What did the first pipe organ sound like to its first audience? Did Bach know how perfect his toccatas were to the ears? If Beethoven couldn't hear, did he feel God's touch in his beautiful compositions? What did Paganini's solos say to their first performers? Do Debussy’s Arabesque and Claire de Lune sound as beautiful to everyone else as they do to me? Did Orff know that Carmina Burana would stir the emotions today like it did when he composed it? Would the great composers hear what they composed, if they could listen to Perlman, Yoyo Ma, or Bell play? Why is music so fulfilling to those who cannot play it?

I have almost as many questions as there are beautiful pieces of music.

Although I consider Baroque to be my favorite era of music with composers like J.S. Bach and Vivaldi, there is no way I could ignore Mozart, Brahms, Liszt, Handel, or Beethoven.

This Beethoven piece is one of my absolute favorites. And if you didn’t know, Beethoven was deaf. For him to compose the way he did would be like me, a blind man, painting the intricacies of a master like Renoir, Van Gogh, or da Vinci.

If you have taken the time to read this, please take a little more time to listen and just let this music envelope all your senses for a little while.

God is truly the master of ALL His creation!

McCain suspends campaign to work with bailout

I wonder if the Media will give Barry O and Ditto Joe the credit.

“Ditto Joe” retells "Black Hawk Down"

“Ditto Joe” Biden is at it again... He tells a crowd about the hardships of war among the troops in Afghanistan. Just where did he lift this story from?

I guess the Taliban has gained weather warfare capabilities!

Jim Demint on the current bailout...again

Senator DeMint debates the bailout plan with Senator Chuck Schumer on The Today Show.

From the Today Show on 9/24/08:

Jim DeMint, who has a successful business background, seems to be the only one who is addressing this bailout with any semblance of logic. Vierra didn't spur this debate well at all and gave Schumer the go ahead to tout his desire for another great depression. And Schumer was way out of line with the "Hoover" remark.

And notice that DeMint is shown as being in D.C. and Schumer is on Capitol Hill. Another biased way to show that one guy is in the trenches and the other guy isn't. But is is NBC after all so I shouldn't be shocked.

The Democrats will not be satisfied unless Americans are miserable and they get to baloon government with a facade of philanthropy. Yet, the innards of it will be nothing but chitterlings and fatback. (And no that is not a racist remark)

Stuart Smalley Still Sucks Sewage

Just when you thought that the left couldn’t get any more crass, they, and especially Al “Stuart Smalley” Franken, take degeneracy down beneath the gutter of bad taste.

SNL used to be one of those skit comedy shows who could make fun of everyone and it be just comedy. Now, it seems that the ultra liberal news department has permeated this once great show. There is still a lot of tongue-in-cheek humor that is even funny. But it is apparent that NBC’s overall goal is to get 0bama elected by making McCain look bad…. even ridiculously bad.

Even though Al Franken is no longer employed by SNL or NBC, the MN senatorial candidate phoned in the idea for the following scene from the September 20th installment:

This is appalling on two levels. First of all, characterizing McCain in the way they did really didn’t bother me as much as the fact that I cannot recall an SNL skit where he was portrayed in even a remotely negative way. The worst SNL has done has been to parody type of people who are totally in the Kool-Aid filled tank for 0bama. There IS a difference there. The second aspect that bothers me is that Franken is involved in it. All that proves is that NBC is pro left and pro 0bama. Their credibility as a network has been irreparably destroyed.

On the same episode there is a New York times skit in which the paper is sending its investigative journalists to Alaska to investigate Sarah Palin. Now, I do believe that the majority of the joke was on the elite media who can’t handle investigating “real” Americans. However, one statement in which Governor Palin’s husband is referred to as having incest with his daughters is thrown in just to help inflame the current epidemic of “Palin Derangement Syndrome.” I would not be shocked if it came from an actual NYT reporter, but SNL used to be above that sort of thing…

Oops! NOPE. Back in 1995, there was a skit in which the subject of rape is used in a joke about CBS journalists. And guess who was involved with that… YEP. Stuart Smalley. And it would not surprise me here if it turns out that the incest line was conceived by Franken as well.

Hey, Minnesotans! Are you sure you want this guy representing you? I realize you folks have been steering left in recent years, but are you sure, absolutely sure you want this guy?

Community Organizers = Bad Economy???

ACORN links challenge Barack Obama’s credibility

HANK HARWELL; Browns Point
Published: September 22nd, 2008 12:30 AM

Democrats tout Barack Obama’s experience as a community organizer at the same time they’re complaining about the state of the economy. Well it’s important to connect the dots between these two topics.

As a community organizer, Obama worked directly for and with ACORN (Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now). In 1992, he was hired to run a voter registration effort. He later became a trainer for the group, as well as its lawyer in election law cases.

ACORN has not only been involved in numerous instances of fraudulent voter registration, vote-rigging, voter intimidation and vote-for-pay scams, the organization also took a lead role in pushing for and getting the underwriting standards for mortgages loosened with the support of liberal politicians in Congress. This was in spite of warnings that looser standards could lead to wide-scale defaults.

Once the standards were loosened, liberal politicians like Barney Frank and Chris Dodd pushed financial institutions to make more and more loans to homeowners who had little ability to repay them.

The result: the current economic crises.

So this raises a couple of important questions.

• What has Obama done to clean up the corruption in ACORN or has he just been complicit?
• Why is he so vocal about the weakness in our economy when the organization he worked for and his colleagues have been primary contributors to the current downturn that coincided with the Democrats gaining control of Congress?

Senator Jim DeMint: Should We Drill?

From SC Senator Jim DeMint:

”Should We Drill”

Should We Drill?
September 19th, 2008

Friends -

I know you are very busy, but I need your immediate help.

As you know, the twenty-five year ban on offshore drilling will expire on October 1st. In the coming days the Senate will be debating on whether or not to renew the ban. I believe that we should not renew the ban and begin drilling in our territories to reduce our dependence on foreign oil, but I need to know what you think.

Should we let the twenty-five year ban on offshore drilling expire?

Should we stop frivolous lawsuits from left-wing environmental groups that have delayed energy production for years?

Please click here and answer these two quick questions today.

Thank you for taking the time out of your busy day to give me your opinion on this very important topic.

Sincerely,

Jim DeMint

Excerpt from Gov. Palin on FNC’s H&C

There is no doubt in my mind, even IF she didn’t have the experience she does, that Sarah Palin is ready for national leadership.

Transcript excerpt from interview of GOV. PALIN ON 'HANNITY & COLMES,' PART 2

“The shots that perhaps our campaign has taken, it's nothing compared to the shots that some people across America are taking today. The things that really matter: Somebody worried about losing their house because of Wall Street collapses. Somebody worried about losing their job or being able to pay for their child's health care coverage or a parent perhaps having lost a son or daughter in battle, those are the shots that matter.” – Gov. Sarah Palin

Sarah Palin truly has a servant’s heart! “For those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.” - Matthew 23:12

No she isn’t the Messiah. But it seems more and more apparent that she is trying to follow His example.

An abortion survivor speaks out against Obama

This is an amazing woman with an amazing story!

The following is from Hannity & Colmes:

And no, I don't truly belive that 0bama is knowingly and willingly for infanticide. However, he certainly ISN'T for providing medical assistance to help those neonates who survived abortions and are born alive. When it comes to life and death, if you aren't for saving a life, in essence you are in favor for the death of that neonate.

And his actions ARE compatible with the overall Democratic Party Platform of 2008:
“The Democratic Party strongly and unequivocally supports Roe v. Wade and a woman’s right to choose a safe and legal abortion, regardless of ability to pay, and we oppose any and all efforts to weaken and undermine that right” - The Democratic Party Platform 2008

What else would "any and all" mean? To 0bama it is in no way about the rights of the LIVE baby, but about the right of the mother or the state to determine if that baby is to live or die. That is a tragedy.

Obama goons involved in investigation of Palin

Dems challenged on “Troopergate”

A lawsuit has been filed by a Texas law firm on behalf of several state lawmakers in Alaska, seeking to have at least one financial supporter of Sen. Barack Obama removed from a team investigating "Troopergate," a series of allegations involving GOP vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin.

If you don’t know what this is about… uh, Google it, goober!

The lawsuit said the investigation… is being led by Sens. Hollis French and Kim Elton, with Stephen E. Branchflower as an investigator.

However, the three have pursued "partisan" actions in attempts to "smear" Palin that make the investigation impossible to continue and be perceived as fair, the lawsuit said.

"The partisan actions of Sen. French, Sen. Elton and Branchflower have tainted the investigation beyond the appearance of impartiality required under the Alaska Constitution," said Kevin Clarkson, of the firm Brena, Bell, & Clarkson and counsel in the suit.

The investigation, which began after Monegan's dismissal in July, is being led by Obama supporters, the lawsuit said. For example, Elton donated $2,000 to the Obama campaign, then failed to disclose that to the Legislative Council, Liberty Legal said.

"He continues to preside over the investigation despite his apparent personal political interest in the outcome of the investigation," the claim said. "Sen. French, the 'investigation project manager,' failed to disclose the comments he had made on a radio program criticizing Gov. Palin's termination of Monegan as 'criminal' prior to being appointed as the 'investigation project manager' and even prior to a vote to investigate at all."

And, the claim said, "Branchflower, the lead investigator, is alleged to be a personal friend of Monegan."

Barack Hussein Obama may be heading to the land of Oz

Well, 0bama has really done it this time. He has broken Federal Law.

What is the Logan Act?

§ 953. Private correspondence with foreign governments.
Any citizen of the United States, wherever he may be, who, without authority of the United States, directly or indirectly commences or carries on any correspondence or intercourse with any foreign government or any officer or agent thereof, with intent to influence the measures or conduct of any foreign government or of any officer or agent thereof, in relation to any disputes or controversies with the United States, or to defeat the measures of the United States, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both.
This section shall not abridge the right of a citizen to apply himself, or his agent, to any foreign government, or the agents thereof, for redress of any injury which he may have sustained from such government or any of its agents or subjects.
1 Stat. 613, January 30, 1799, codified at 18 U.S.C. § 953 (2004).

Is there any other relevance to the Logan Act?

"[T]he President alone has the power to speak or listen as a representative of the nation. He makes treaties with the advice and consent of the Senate; but he alone negotiates. Into the field of negotiation the Senate cannot intrude, and Congress itself is powerless to invade it."
“The President is the constitutional representative of the United States with regard to foreign nations. He manages our concerns with foreign nations, and must necessarily be most competent to determine when, how, and upon what subjects negotiation may be urged with the greatest prospect of success. For his conduct, he is responsible to the Constitution.”
– In the majority opinion of Justice George Sutherland from United States v. Curtiss-Wright Export Corp. (1936)

According to this Barack Obama is guilty of violating the Logan Act by trying to delay troop withdrawal from Iraq.

And he should go to jail.

HOW RACISM WORKS

What if John McCain were a former president of the Harvard Law Review? What if Barack Obama finished fifth from the bottom of his graduating class? What if McCain were still married to the first woman he said “I do” to? What if Obama were the candidate who left his first wife after she no longer measured up to his standards?

What if Michelle Obama were a wife who not only became addicted to pain killers, but acquired them illegally through her charitable organization? What if Cindy McCain graduated from Harvard? What if Obama were a member of the “Keating 5”? What if McCain was a charismatic, eloquent speaker?

If these questions reflected reality, do you really believe the election numbers would be as close as they are?

This is what racism does. It covers up, rationalizes and minimizes positive qualities in one candidate and emphasizes negative qualities in another when there is a color difference.

— Kelvin LaFond, Fort Worth

Posted at 12:05 AM in Letters to the Editor

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
And the following is my response:
You make some great points and I can understand the argument you are validly making. However…
As I understand it, racism is the notion that one finds one’s race superior to another or all others. While I do acknowledge that racism is alive and not exactly struggling in this day and age. I tend to think that since one of the two candidates running for office is a different race than the other, the argument of racism being the only reason for poll numbers is incomplete and even intangible. I will concede that PREJUDICE, by all races in America, is abhorrently present in the way people relate to both Obama and McCain
But none of the issues or aspects you mentioned have anything to do with race. They have had to do with the respective individual’s past.
First things first, Michelle Obama and Cindy McCain have both done some pretty stupid things. Yet, they have both been successful, been professional women who have raised or are raising families, and they have both been involved in very commendable philanthropic projects. They would both make exceptional first ladies. Any mistakes they have made have been answered for and are non-sequitor to this campaign, but neither of these ladies is running for any office.
Now as to the candidates running, the reasoning you gave can be used with another viewpoint as well.
What if Barack Obama was raised with a multigenerational military family background who espoused honor, courage and integrity in the rearing of its children? What if John McCain was raised by a non-Christian family, enrolled in a Muslim school, and then mentored by known communists and socialists? What if Barack Obama had a distinguished military career which included the command of a major fighter squadron? What if John McCain had been the community organizer and law professor? What if Barack Obama was beaten and tortured in a POW camp for five years? What if John McCain admitted to and acknowledged experimentation with drugs with a nonchalant attitude? What if Barack Obama developed a reputation of legislative independence and believed that policy was more important than party? What if John McCain had the appearance of using each successive elected position as a campaigning step to the next one? What if Barack Obama had the reputation of doing things to heal this nation's past wounds including, but not limited to Native American affairs and the Viet Nam War? What if John McCain had the reputation of associating and doing business with known terrorists and race baiters?
If those questions reflected reality, would John McCain be the GOP nominee? Absolutely not! Not because of race, but because his merit and character. As the media portrays them, Obama is the messiah who causes tingling in the legs merely by speaking and McCain is the doddering old fart, who is too out of touch with today’s generation. If the lives were reversed, Obama would still be the media darling… just like McCain was in 2000 during the primaries. That isn’t racism. That’s favoritism and biased behavior.
I truly think racism does much more than what you described above. I believe it promulgates itself into an election cycle and even into society with a lot of help from people, of all races, who don’t know how to deal with straight up success or failure.
For sure, racism is absolutely the last remnants of the chains of slavery that bind people down. But in this day and age, some of that binding has been self-inflicted.
It's Time To Drill
IT'S TIME TO DRILL By
TWENTY POUND SLEDGE
(Lyrics)
VERSE
Everyday the media's telling me
How bad it is in the economy.
Or Hollywood talking about Global Warming-
Tryng to make us feel stupid, and guilty.
They insist that green technology
will reduce foreign oil dependency,
but they just said that we have a weak
econmomy.
Which means it will lack affordability.
There's something that we've got to do before we do that.
Something that will get our money back on track.
You want to go green? It's going to take green,
so get the black gold. Everybody sing.
CHORUS
DRILL!
You got us drilling holes in our pockets.
DRILL!
Instead of drilling holes in the ground.
DRILL!
You can see inflation sky rocket.
DRILL!
We can fix it if we drill here right now.
DRILL!
The more you buy into the ones who stop it.
DRILL!
The more money that you're going to bleed out.
DRILL!
It's time to get the keys, and unlock it.
DRILL!
We can fix it if we drill here right now.
They say it's going to take 10 years well,
They said that 10 years ago so,
Had we done it then we'd have the oil now,
litigation is the time they'll drag out.
Everyday I here this was a war for oil,
though we have our own underneathe American soil.
If that were really true, then why didn't you prevent the
war by stepping aside so we could get our own crude?
The only bloody hands would belong to the left.
Aptly named sinister, and taxin' us to death,
The ministers of victemization, who keep us in
a state of a dependency nation.
REPEAT CHORUS
Music lyrics, and performed by
Alfonzo Rachel
We'll let them keep their HOPE
Since CHANGE has been rightly commandeered from the empty mantra of the 0bama campaign, we can only assume that HOPE is next. However, before we get carried away, remember what one of our most revered founding fathers said about HOPE:
“it is natural to man to indulge in the illusions of HOPE. We are apt to shut our eyes against a painful truth, and listen to the song of that siren till she transforms us into beasts.” – Patrick Henry, 1775
And now look at what Barack 0bama said about HOPE:
“HOPE is the bedrock of our Nation.” – Barack Obama, 2008
Not that hypnotic after all, is it?
Don't Sell Yourselves Short
Just how relevant are you? Well, consider Simon of Cyrene:
“A certain man from Cyrene, Simon, the father of Alexander and Rufus, was passing by on his way in from the country, and they forced him to carry the cross.” – Mark 15:21
“As they led Jesus away, Simon, a man from Cyrene, was coming in from the fields. They forced him to carry Jesus' cross and to walk behind him.” – Luke 23:26
Still wondering if you are relevant?
Simon was a man from Libya who was in Jerusalem at the time of Passover. There is no definitive proof that Simon was there for Passover or that he was Jewish. However, the bible tells us that he was travelling into Jerusalem from the country or fields. Logic would dictate that because he has his sons with him and was travelling to Jerusalem at the time of Passover that he was Jewish. Yet, he was the one chosen to carry the cross. Think about it. Men chose an anonymous man from the crowd to deny himself, pick up the cross and follow Jesus. Christ himself said, "If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me” (Mark 8:34). Simon of Cyrene is a physical statement about true and false converts to Christ. Simon was forced to follow Jesus. And yet, that is not what God intended. Jesus leaves the control up to us. In order for us to be true and repentant converts to Christ, we are to surrender our lives to Him. It’s the least we can do considering that He surrendered His life to God for us.
Many religions today demand the completion of an act or deed to reach before salvation. God was the one who did the act 2,000 years ago by dying on the cross. PRAISE HIM!!!
BTW – Why was the lamb so important? An innocent’s blood was demanded as payment for sin. An innocent lamb was that traditional choice. Until…
“The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, ‘Look! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!’” – John 1:29
Jesus is the Lamb to watch for sure! That is why God made Simon relevant.
A Rememberance...
Tomorrow is September 11, 2008. It marks the seventh anniversary of the day that the world changed.
Yes, many important things have happened since that day, some wonderful, some tragic. But on that day, nothing else mattered except that we were Americans and someone had taken a huge swing at us. We were hit but not knocked out.
Every American forgot all those things that divided us on that day and every American struggled for light on a very dark day.
Therefore, tomorrow, September 11, 2008, I vow to see every American as an American. Both John McCain and Barack Obama will be equals to me. Liberals and Conservatives, Republicans and Democrats, Christians and non-Christians, men and women, the old and the young, all races, colors, and creeds will be celebrated as Americans.
I will not make any disparaging statement about any American tomorrow; not in voice, print or data. I will not blog or post a bulletin about anything.
Tomorrow, I will simply go through my day, Thanking God for this great country and the people in it.
May God bless this nation and its people with His grace and glory and may we all seek His face as we remember those who lost their lives seven years ago.
Life is good, ask the animals...
It's Happening Everywhere
Animals that were formerly self-sufficient are now bonding together and showing signs of belonging to the Democratic Party... as they have apparently learned to just sit and wait for the government to step in and provide for their care and sustenance. This movement has become known as the “Democratic Animal “Gimmie” (give me) Support Group (DAGSP).
The attached photo captures the DAGSP leader, displaying trends that are beginning to affect wildlife all over the US. The leader of the movement has grown so dependent upon the Government in DC that it has become known as the Democrat Bear. Rumor has it, the “Dems” have considered changing their mascot from the ASS to the BEAR. The big quandary is whether or not to align the mascot with their cumulative personalities or economic policies.
(no credit to me on this one -scott)
Too far??? WAY TOO (*&^)(*&#% FAR!!!!!!!!!!!
As of late, prominent DNC leaders have taken a line from the following:
And now there are 0bama campaign buttons and shirts with this slogan.
So now the comparison is that 0bama is Jesus and Palin is Pontius Pilate. Bill Clinton and Jimmy Carter were governors as well, numbskulls!
Why is this pastor using his pulpit to cage Jesus into anything.
Jesus Christ was NOT a community organizer. He is the Messiah, Lord of Lords, King of Kings, Son of God, Light of the World, Bread of Life, the Solid Rock, Lamb of God and so much more than any one title could ever encompass.
If we are going to take this line of thinking, the ONLY ONE who is a community organizer is GOD Almighty. God organized EVERYTHING. And 0bama ain’t God, a god, godly, or righteous. So there is no way to compare them.
Also, Jesus came to seek and save the lost to bring them to God. Obama came to seek and save lemmings to bring them to himself and his political power.
And how dare anyone compare a brutal provincial Roman governor to any politician in our country, democrat or republican?!??!??! Because if that were the case, A better comparison would be those DEMOCRAT governors and plantation owners of Antebellum America….oh and they did things to organize their communities with whips and chains.
Do you see how stupid that sounds?
Is the desperation to put 0bama in office so great that now even CHRISTIAN pastors would blaspheme Jesus? Who gets the glory there, pastor?
I would NEVER compare ANY politician to Jesus!
And let’s get this straight. A community organizer is a politician…some use the position to seek higher ones and some use it for the good of the community, but it is a political job nonetheless. And Jesus was never political. He NEVER did anything with the purpose to bring good to the earthly community. He did ALL to glorify God.
This is a line crossed that God will have to deal with, because I am having to repent of my hatred for idiots right now.
Okay, the snake in the grass has heard the fat lady sing and desperation has set in!
Okay, the snake in the grass has heard the fat lady sing and desperation has set in!
“You can put lipstick on a pig and it’s still a pig” is an expression that has been used for years. But there is no doubt, especially by the roar of 0bama’s moonbat followers that his use of it is a direct yet desperate bite at Governor Palin.
At least with Sarah Palin, you don’t get the proverbial “Pig in a Poke,” you inexperienced, Marxist patty of bovine feces!
Just for fun
Obviously there are those who have WAY too much time on their hands!
Ah. The Military Spin Spins That Proverbial Web
”This Close to a Chest Full of Medals” From Monica Crowley
"…I actually always thought of the military as an ennobling and, you know, honorable option. But keep in mind that I graduated in 1979. The Vietnam war had come to an end. We weren't engaged in an active military conflict at that point. And so, it's not an option that I ever decided to pursue." – Barack Obama on This Week with George Stephanopoulos – 9/7/08
Now, from the Monica Memo:
“This is all kinds of wrong.
“First, for a guy who supposedly poured his whole life into the pages of not one but two memoirs, there is not a single mention in either of them of a desire to serve in the military.
“Second, he says he decided against it because the Vietnam war was over and we weren't involved in a hot war.
“So I guess Obama thinks peace and freedom just sort of happen by themselves. That we don't need a military in times of peace, because, you know, there's not a lot of stuff going on. That we only need a military when stuff does go down in the world, when the threat is on our doorstep, then by golly, we'll whip a military in no time! He doesn't seem to get that peace and freedom happen BECAUSE of a strong, deterrent force.
“Just when you think you've heard all possible naivete from this guy, he hits you with more.
“What's obvious is that when… Obama [is] feeling the heat, they trot out some ridiculous story about having wanted to go to boot camp… because he's losing traction to his war hero opponent.
“When in doubt, Democrats put on an imaginary uniform and spin a wispy fairytale of "almost" heroics.”
-------------------------------------------
0bama voted AGAINST those noble and honorable men and women he “thought” about joining. Was he thinking about it while he was enjoying the point of inhaling or when he could afford some blow?
Apart from his “clouded” memory and description about signing up for Selective Service when he graduated from high school in 1979, Crowley brought up some great points here. However, there were three significant events in 1979 that would have a true patriot consider military service in 1979.
In Iran, American hostages were taken when the Ayatollah Khomeini seized control of power.
The Soviets invaded Afghanistan which heated up the Cold War.
In South Korea, an important ally of ours, there was an unsuccessful presidential coup after the assassination of President Park.
0bama may have thought about joining the military but didn’t see a need and yet the world that very year gave a very patriotic need.
Union of the Soviet States of Obamastan - the youth
At about :30 seconds in to this clip is mentioned the Visitor’s Friends. Could this be an example of a youth section of 0bama’s civilian national security force?
I know it’s silly….but then again…maybe not.
A lesson in vocabulary for the media
Lies, lies, lies, yeah!
I can’t help but let that annoying strain of a song form the 80s new wave group The Thompson Twins permeate my brain when I watch almost any news broadcast these days.
In this day and age, there are horrendous problems with America’s media channels and their respective news broadcasts. Things like truth, honesty, integrity, trust, and impartiality have lost their meaning in broadcast journalism these days. Let’s look at these words from two perspectives and see how they are ignored these days. (definitions are from dictionary.com and verses are from biblegateway.com.
Truth – 1. The true or actual state of a matter. 2. Conformity with fact or reality; verity. 3. A verified or indisputable fact, proposition, principle, or the like.
“…rejecting all falsity and being done now with it, let everyone express the truth with his neighbor…” - Ephesians 4:25 (AMP)
Honesty – 1. The quality or fact of being honest; uprightness and fairness. 2. Truthfulness, sincerity, or frankness. 3. Freedom from deceit or fraud.
“Honesty guides good people…” – Proverbs 11:3 (NLT), “The ways of honest people are made straight because they do what is right…” – Proverbs 11:5 – (NIRV)
Integrity – 1. Adherence to moral and ethical principles; soundness of moral character. 2. The state of being whole, entire, or undiminished. 3. A sound, unimpaired, or perfect condition. 4. An undivided or unbroken completeness or totality with nothing wanting. 5. Moral soundness.
“in all things showing yourself to be a pattern of good works; in doctrine showing integrity, reverence, incorruptibility” – Titus 2:7 (NKJV)
Trust – 1. Reliance on the integrity, strength, ability, surety, etc., of a person or thing; confidence. 2. A person on whom or thing on which one relies. 3. The obligation or responsibility imposed on a person in whom confidence or authority is placed.
“…a messenger who is trusted brings healing” – Proverbs 13:17 – (NIRV)
Impartiality – 1. Not partial or biased; fair; just. 2. An inclination to weigh both views or opinions equally.
EXAMPLES - 1 Kings 3:24-28, James 3:17, 1 Peter 1:17
When you watch our news reports these days, can you honestly say that they contain the defined words above? If you can, then you are deluding yourself. We are living in a time when an unbiased reporting of the truth has been thrown out the window.
“In seeking truth you have to get both sides of a story.”
Do you know who said that? It is a quote from someone who was called the most trusted person in America. It was former CBS News Anchor Walter Cronkite. During most of his time at CBS, he was the most watched News anchor. His word was gold and he understood how to report the truth, no matter how naked and ugly it appeared.
MoveOn.org and Media Matters are doing their best to foist their own agendas into the newsroom, American society and into our government. And now it is becoming more commonly known how cable news channels like CNN and MSNBC are falling in line with those liberal outlets. Even Fox News has allowed programming to tilt one way or the other. Fox’s reporting seems to be better balanced, though.
This past weekend, MSNBC pulled overtly liberal Olberman and spit master Matthews from anchor positions. They will still serve as analysts where there vitriolic diatribe can serve the democrats best.
Time and time again there is more and more evidence of bias in news reporting. Yes, that includes the perspective from the right as well. There are shows out there like O'Reilly, Beck, Hannity and Colmes, Rivera, among others where they are editorial shows that express opinion as well. But the nightly network and the Sunday morning news programs should report the news or interview the guests fairly, without political tint.
But it just ain’t done anymore. I have even noticed how Fox News Sunday has reported thing with both a right and left tint to it.
Thank God, we have people in the blogosphere who desire to get the truth out there. And I am just as pleased if that truth exposes right wing evil as it does left wing evil. Blogging, BTR and Ustream have been called the “New Media,” “True Media,” and now “Main Street Media.” We also have some good accountability sites like Media Resource Center and Accuracy in Media to make sure things stay on the up and up.
Right now, I sincerely believe that it will be the left wing media that will lose the election for Barack Obama by slanting the reporting into a leftist perspective.
Americans are much smarter than that.
From the mouths of her former colleagues in Alaska.
McCain ~ Palin 2008
Apparently Alaska Governor Sarah Palin’s experience not only has her words, or the words of the GOP to claim her experience, but she has the words of her former colleagues in Alaska. This is a popular governor who has the reputation of putting her constituents first.
The following videos are from “On The Record” with Great Van Susteren on Fox News from September 5th.
Dianne Keller on Sarah Palin:
Dianne Keller is the current mayor of Wasilla, Alaska who succeeded Palin to the mayorship. Keller observed Palin as mayor for six years while she served on the Wasilla city counsel. Keller gives her admiration for Palin’s personal drive while relating to her small town constituency. Palin went to people’s homes to meet with them about their concerns. She even performed her mayoral privilege of marrying a couple at the local Wal-Mart. Keller endorsed Palin here not just politically, but personally as well.
Major General Craig E. Campbell and Meg Stapleton on Sarah Palin:
General Campbell has known Palin for twelve years. In referring to Palin’s gubernatorial duties as commander-in-chief of the Alaska National Guard, Campbell said that, “Sarah does it great.” Campbell talked about how soon after Palin took office as Governor, some of her first questions were about the guard troops and, after visiting those deployed to Kuwait, ended up with ideas and perspectives that served the best interest of the troops, their families, and their state. She took those perspectives and ideas and made them into law the following year. Campbell stated that “she is above and beyond what a governor will do,” in terms of her role as C-in-C of the state guard. What she needed to learn and understand about the guard in Alaska, she did in “rapid-fire” fashion. As a military commander, Campbell gave a resounding endorsement of Palin’s abilities as a civilian leader of the military.
Meg Stapleton served as Press Secretary to Palin. Stapleton described Palin’s ability to get work moving on a natural gas pipeline which is something that Alaska governor have to been trying to unsuccessfully do for three decades. She was able to accomplish this because she researched and questioned all sides of the issue and she saw the need to let capitalistic market competition prevail over government control. Stapleton also talked about Palin’s overwhelming popularity in Alaska and explained that it was do to Palin being able to be a common sense executive who put Alaskans first instead of special interests. She gave her endorsement by stating the Palin would bring that same attitude with her as vice-president.
Now, I realize that no person is perfect and especially, no politician is perfect. But it is amazing that this daughter of “Final Frontier” has a modern pioneering spirit reminiscent of our founding fathers!
Americans stand up for fairness!
Angry readers dump Us Magazine over Palin
“Three celebrity weeklies — OK!, People and Us Weekly — featured Sarah Palin on their cover, but one of those magazines is reportedly losing subscribers because of it.
Us Weekly, which unlike People and OK!, chose a rather caustic cover line (“Babies, Lies and Scandal”) is said to have lost thousands of subscribers in just the first 24 hours following the printing of the issue.”
Seems to me that the main stream media is discovering that Americans aren’t putting up with biased reporting as much as they used to.
This video is from 9/03/08. Fox News’ Megyn Kelly interviews Us Weekly Senior Editor Bradley Jacobs.
It was very apparent the Jacobs wasn’t prepared to defend the integrity of the article and made it clear that it is US WEEKLY’S practice to rush a story to print before all the facts are confirmed.
The fact of the matter is that the “lefting” of America’s journalism practices is being shown for the travesty it is. AND AMERICANS AREN’T HAVING IT!!!
"Sarah Barracuda"
“Sarah-Barracuda”
(To the tune of “Barracuda” by Heart)
Lyrics by Scott from South Cackalacky
Sarah Palin ~ Liberty Belle by joitheartist
"Liberty Belle" by joitheartist
So this ain't the end – we know you’ll win… Election Day
We’re gonna turn our hearts your way
You’ve come from the “Land of the Midnight Sun”
Alaska tales - it never fails!
You were chosen to meet our needs
The proof is in your deeds
You brought the left down on their knees.
We’re proud of you, Sarah-Barracuda?
And now it’s time to draw a line... in the sand
With you we’ll take a stand
No right, so wrong he’s selling a song - deranged
“hope” and “change”
You’re the real thing, a babe with no fear
Home grown in “The Final Frontier”
You’re gonna help us get the next four years
Ooh, Sarah-Barracuda?
"We don’t know you" the media says
They don’t matter anyways
You... You’ll get the blue states too.
McCain and Palin on track
We’ll take our country back
From those liberal fools -silly silly mules
You’re the real thing, a babe with no fear
Home grown in “The Final Frontier”
You’re gonna help us get the next four years
Ooh, Sarah-Barracuda?
McCain needs us to do our very best
This year’s RNC Convention has spoken one main thing to me. Those of us who blog and host or participate in Online Radio Shows have a responsibility of leadership that is beyond what the RNC staffers can do. We have a load to carry and that how far we carry it might be the difference between President McCain and President Obama.
We cannot afford to give up or call this election lost. John McCain was not my initial choice because I felt that he was giving his very best for conservatism in Washington. I have since changed my attitude. John McCain has continually given his very best throughout his career. He gave his body to his nation…twice. He has led in a way that is not always popular or even in agreement with his party, but he led.
And now John McCain needs us to do our very best for him. The stakes are too high not to give our very best.
We cannot let disputes distract us from doing our very best.
We cannot let personal preferences distract us from doing our very best.
We called out to John McCain when we doubted his ability to lead the conservative base and he did his very best by providing a conservative running mate.
We have a duty to do our very best for our country but doing our very best for John McCain.
The following video is from the movie “Facing the Giants.” It is a football movie with a Christian tone and lesson. But I believe the following scene speaks to us as conservatives who support John McCain. It is an inspiring scene that should inspire you to give your very best and never give up.
American Women Are Smarter Than This!
Just how do the main stream media and tabloid trash rags want America to view GOP VP candidate Sarah Palin? Take a look and you decide if the following is being fair and unbiased.
Palin OK Cover
“BABY SCANDAL”
“A MOTHER’S PAINFUL CHOICE”
“REAL TRUTH ABOUT HER BABY”
There is no scandal. Palin has been open and honest about her newborn and honestly addressed her daughter’s pregnancy.
There was no choice that Sarah Palin had to make. God blessed her with a life and she followed God’s guidance by becoming a mother again to a beautiful child.
There is only one truth about her baby and that has already been revealed by Palin herself.
Now let’s look at two different covers from the same magazine; US Weekly…
Obama US Weekly Cover
Wow!!! She’s just like every mom! “She shops at Target.” She “never misses the girls’ recitals.” She’s “down-to-earth.” What a lady! I know my wife can relate to her.
Now look at how the same rag portrayed Sarah Palin…
Palin US Weekly Cover
“BABIES, LIES & SCANDAL” She’s “under attack” and had to “admit” something. She’s been “investigated.” And there are “embarrassing surprises” about her. Ooh, she seems scandalous and aloof. I am not sure my wife will relate to her.
I am pretty sure Sarah Palin has been proud of her country her entire life…Hmm.
And you wonder why the American people are getting frustrated with business-as-usual journalism.
By the way…Both my wife and I will be voting for John McCain AND Sarah Palin in November.
McCain ~ Palin 2008
Fren Thompson at the RNC Convention
His speech at the RNC Convention last night gives a great example as to why I did.
Not only did Thompson rouse the crowd with John McCain’s harrowing story or heroism, character and integrity, but he hit it out of the park with some great zingers!
On Sarah Palin:
“…what a breath of fresh air Governor Sarah Palin is. She is from a small town, with small town values, but that's not good enough for those folks who are attacking her and her family. Some Washington pundits and media big shots are in a frenzy over the selection of a woman who has actually governed rather than just talked a good game on the Sunday talk shows and hit the Washington cocktail circuit. Well, give me a tough Alaskan Governor who has taken on the political establishment in the largest state in the Union -- and won -- over the beltway business-as-usual crowd any day of the week. Let's be clear ... the selection of Governor Palin has the other side and their friends in the media in a state of panic. She is a courageous, successful, reformer, who is not afraid to take on the establishment. … She has run a municipality and she has run a state. And I can say without fear of contradiction that she is the only nominee in the history of either party who knows how to properly field dress a moose ... with the possible exception of Teddy Roosevelt.”
On Barack Obama:
“The respect [John McCain] is given around the world is not because of a teleprompter speech designed to appeal to American critics abroad.”
“…the Democrats present a history making nominee for president. History making in that he is the most liberal, most inexperienced nominee to ever run for President. Apparently they believe that he would match up well with the history making, Democrat controlled Congress. History making because it's the least accomplished and most unpopular Congress in our nation's history.”
“And we need a President who doesn't think that the protection of the unborn or a newly born baby is above his pay grade.”
ROGER THAT!
2008 RNC Convention Tribute to Mike Monsoor
Get some kleenex!
"Zo" on Diddy
Found this video at Screwliberals.com....Thanks, Jenn!
Kids....what'r'ya gonna do?
Did you hear that the 17 year old, unwed daughter of Alaska Governor and VP candidate Sarah Palin is pregnant? She blew it, didn’t she?
Sen. Biden’s Daughter Arrested in Altercation
“Sen. Biden’s spokeswoman, Margaret Aitken, declined to comment, calling it a private, family matter.”
Al Gore's son faces drug charges
“A day after his arrest and release, a spokesman for his father told CNN that the younger Gore had begun treatment in Los Angeles.”
And in his youth, what was Barack Obama doing?
”There were times when I got into drinking, experimenting with drugs”
So, kids do stupid things without thinking about future consequences…WOW! News to me!
America is now truly in danger!
It has come to light that a situation has risen that puts our national security, economy, and core society at a terrible risk.
This is something that is vitally important and will obviously affect the upcoming national election.
Bristol Palin, the 17 year old, unwed daughter of Alaska Governor Sarah Palin is five months pregnant!
I am just utterly shocked at this! It has shaken the very core of my conservative being and I just don’t know what to think or do now.
NOT!!!
As a conservative Christian, I don’t like to hear that a child has been conceived out of wedlock. The risks with that alone are tremendous. However, it is apparent that Bristol Palin and the father of her baby are in love and will be making it right with God by getting married. Furthermore, they are keeping the baby. Again, as a Christian, I plainly say that fornication is a sin, and these young adults are guilty. But, I also believe that the Palin family are Christian and know Christ. Therefore, this can and will be only settled by how God guides their family. And that should be the end of it.
I find the liberal media and blogosphere reaction to this story unsettling for several reasons. They salivated over meat by acting more like a tabloid than reporting a story spreading a lie rather than letting it be a family issue. They hypocritically acted in a way that they accuse conservatives of acting about something like this. They treated it as a nation threatening scandal. And they forced an American family to publicly admit to a very private family issue.
And the thing that really makes me mad is that, when a hurricane is looming over a city that hasn’t been fully restored from previous devastation, liberals were more focused on the potential scandal revolving around the pregnancy of a teenage girl.
AND YES THIS IS TOTALLY DIFFERENT THAN BILLY JEFF’S INFIDELITY.
President cheated on his committed marriage and lied to cover it up. Chelsea didn’t. He diminished the character and integrity of his presidency by willfully practicing deception. Had he not been in the highest office of the land, it might not have mattered as much. But because he has a responsibility to practice the basics when it comes to what is right and wrong, his actions are far worse. And yes I believe he is a Christian and can get forgiveness from God as well.
Sarah Palin is strong and smart enough to know how to be a mother and executive. She’s already been doing that.
Now that Gustav has died down, we are still concerned with its aftermath and now with tropical storm Hanna building up. Also, there is a new tropical storm that could have a further affect on this nation…Josephine.
Right now, the agendas of political parties should be on the back burner because it’s time for Americans to be there for Americans! Yet, liberals don’t seem to want that unless it will get them votes and power.
With these tactics, if, God forbid, there is another terrorist attack on our nation, I will expect the libtardocratics to be more focused on the butt wart hairs of the Secretary of State than a true emergency.
I become more and more convinced that Libs see two Americas. The one they want and the one that must be obliterated.
