We'll let them keep their HOPE

Since CHANGE has been rightly commandeered from the empty mantra of the 0bama campaign, we can only assume that HOPE is next. However, before we get carried away, remember what one of our most revered founding fathers said about HOPE:

“it is natural to man to indulge in the illusions of HOPE. We are apt to shut our eyes against a painful truth, and listen to the song of that siren till she transforms us into beasts.” – Patrick Henry, 1775

And now look at what Barack 0bama said about HOPE:

“HOPE is the bedrock of our Nation.” – Barack Obama, 2008

Not that hypnotic after all, is it?
