Tomorrow is September 11, 2008. It marks the seventh anniversary of the day that the world changed.
Yes, many important things have happened since that day, some wonderful, some tragic. But on that day, nothing else mattered except that we were Americans and someone had taken a huge swing at us. We were hit but not knocked out.
Every American forgot all those things that divided us on that day and every American struggled for light on a very dark day.
Therefore, tomorrow, September 11, 2008, I vow to see every American as an American. Both John McCain and Barack Obama will be equals to me. Liberals and Conservatives, Republicans and Democrats, Christians and non-Christians, men and women, the old and the young, all races, colors, and creeds will be celebrated as Americans.
I will not make any disparaging statement about any American tomorrow; not in voice, print or data. I will not blog or post a bulletin about anything.
Tomorrow, I will simply go through my day, Thanking God for this great country and the people in it.
May God bless this nation and its people with His grace and glory and may we all seek His face as we remember those who lost their lives seven years ago.
