By Any Other Name, Part 2

See if this sounds familiar:

The Administration took several steps to improve American relations with other countries. In one instance, the U.S. reached out (with what the president thought of as an unclenched fist) in recognition to a government that had been in place for a while but was resistant in dealing with this regime because of the strong disagreement many Americans had with its brutal policies. However, the President believed that reinstating diplomatic relations was in America’s strategic best interest. Two immediate and practical reasons were behind the move. First the U.S. hoped that this nation could eventually become a lucrative trading partner. Second, America believed that better relations with this nation would positively influence and lead to a cessation of differences and hostilities in that regime’s region of the world.

Am I talking about Iraq, Iran, or Pakistan? Nope! Let’s go back to the pre-war 1930s:

The Roosevelt Administration did take several steps to improve American relations with other countries. In 1933, for instance, the U.S. gave official recognition to the Communist government of the Soviet Union that had been in place since 1917. America had resisted offering legitimacy to the Communist regime because of the strong disagreement many Americans had with Communism. However, Roosevelt believed that replacing diplomatic isolation with normalized relations was in America’s strategic best interest. Two immediate and practical reasons were behind the move. First the U.S. hoped that the Soviet Union might become a lucrative trading partner. Second, America believed that better relations with Russia might help stop Japanese aggression in Asia and the Pacific.

When diplomatic recognition was being discussed between Russia and the U.S., the Soviets promised to stop pro-Soviet propaganda in America. However, Russia proved to be an unreliable friend. The propaganda did not stop. Moreover, no significant trade developed with Russia. In addition, among the complicated treaties and alliances leading up to World War II, Japan and Russia signed a mutual non-aggression treaty.

Now, see if this is recognizable:

The President pursued an easing of relations with other nations in the Western Hemisphere. He backed away from the role of policeman and moved toward being a neighbor and a partner with the nations of the Caribbean and Latin America. The U.S. withdrew some forces and installations from a Caribbean island nation, signed a promise not to intervene in the domestic affairs of Latin America. This change was seen as noble principle with practical necessity. The United States wanted to increase trade with its hemispheric neighbors to help alleviate the effects of a world economic crisis. In addition, the U.S. hoped better relations would lessen the risk of the countries in the Americas aligning themselves with other dictatorial powers that were gaining strength.

Do you think this is about Cuba and Guantanamo Bay or Chaves in Venezuela? Wrong again:

During the 1930s, President Roosevelt also pursued an easing of relations with other nations in the Western Hemisphere. He backed away from the role of policeman and moved toward being a neighbor and a partner with the nations of Central and South America. The U.S. withdrew its troops from Haiti, signed a promise not to intervene in the domestic affairs of Panama, and gave up the Platt Amendment which had allowed American intervention in Cuba. This change combined noble principle with practical necessity. The United States wanted to increase trade with its hemispheric neighbors to help alleviate the effects of the Great Depression. In addition, the U.S. hoped better relations would lessen the risk of countries in the Americas aligning themselves with the dictatorial powers that were gaining strength in Europe.

Cuba eventually fell to communism, many South American Countries aligned themselves with the Axis, and there are still banana republics today that just don’t seem to know what they are doing. We gave away the Panama Canal. So how effective was Roosevelt in all of that?

And what about this?

In a heatedly contentious election, one political party was overwhelmingly victorious, gaining control of the executive and legislative branches of government. The previous administration was decried in the media and by its detractors as ineffective, and the country had not apparently gained much from its involvement in an unpopular war. In actions that have become the pattern for what happens in many countries, the president demonstrated shows of feigned strength and was seen by many as the nation’s savior; and many of the people endorsed his actions of power. The government started taking over aspects of business and life in the nation, and all opposition to this president was portrayed as prejudice and treason. The people at first cheered this man’s rise, but soon they started to become victims themselves of his lust for greater power.

Hmmm….Who could this be? Barack Hussein Obama? Sorry:

Benito Mussolini seized control of Italy in 1922. The previous Italian government had been ineffective, and the country had not gained much from its involvement in the Great War. Mussolini called his approach Fascism, from the Latin word fasces, a bundle of rods that was a symbol of strength in ancient Rome. In actions that became the pattern for what happened in many countries, Mussolini demonstrated a show of strength and claimed to be the country’s savior; and the people endorsed his seizure of power. The government under Mussolini took over almost every aspect of business and life in Italy, and all opposition and dissent were ruthlessly oppressed. Italians at first cheered Mussolini’s rise, but then they became victims themselves of his lust for greater power.

The point here, folks, is that the stuff Barack Obama is implementing today, is stuff that has failed time and time again. Stop letting those who are elected to SERVE get power to RULE because once it’s gone, the only way to get it back is through bloodshed!

That piece of crap still stinks. Or in a quote from someone I respect. “That dog just won’t hunt.”

Sign the Petition - Stop the Energy Tax!

SIGN THE PETITION!

Stop the Energy Tax!

By Any Other Name???

Before Obama forces us into his version of the New Deal, let’s look at some of the things that he is trying to do that FAILED during the new deal.

Yes, New Deal programs were having an impact on the depression, but it still had a solid grip on the nation. Just like today, to pay for government programs, taxes were raised and money was printed and inflation ensued. Also it began deficit spending to get immediate funding with disregard to the future.

In 1935 the unemployment rate was still 20%, which meant that 10 million Americans were out of work. Also in 1935, the Supreme Court weighed in and began striking down one piece of New Deal legislation after another. The Court decided against the Administration in seven of nine cases that it heard BECAUSE the federal government tried to unconstitutionally seize powers not mandated in the constitution.

In Schechter v. the U.S., the Supreme Court declared the National Industrial Recovery Act unconstitutional because it delegated too much power to the executive branch. It said that the industrial codes could not be legally binding and that the government could not control business in the way that the law called for. Then in U.S. v. Butler (1936), the Court struck down the Agricultural Adjustment Act, declaring that Congress had no power to impose controls on agricultural production. Agriculture was to be regulated by the states since growing crops and livestock did not involve interstate commerce.

These were stinging defeats for a popular Democratic president. Do we have one of those today?

In 1936, Roosevelt was renominated by the
Democrats. The Republicans selected Kansas
Governor Alf Landon as their candidate. Landon
did not call for the dismantling of all New Deal programs. He said that government spending was too high and that some programs were poorly administered. Roosevelt’s popularity meant that Landon’s “me too, just not as much” approach did not resonate with the voters.

Sound familiar? McCain was simply Obama’s “almond joy” without the nuts.

More generally, because of the New Deal, America has been influenced by the legacy of the Federal government continuing to take a more active role than just regulating business.

The Federal government is involved in managing the economy, and Congress passes laws that deal with many aspects of American life. The regulations set by the bureaucracy of the executive branch have the effect of law. It is rare to hear of anyone saying that proposed legislation in Congress is an encroachment on states’ rights and powers or is not an appropriate subject for Federal action.

And in fact, the New Deal did NOT fully accomplish its goal of restoring the American economy. In 1939 unemployment was still at 17%, which meant that nine and a half million people in the labor force were out of work. ONLY THE STIMULUS OF WARTIME PRODUCTION in the early 1940s brought the economy to full recovery.

So, before you really think that Universal, Government-run, single payer healthcare is a good thing. Or that government regulation of energy will save the planet. Remember that a piece of crap by any other name will still stink. It hasn’t worked before, folks. IT WON’T EVER WORK!

The Energy Act...uh...Bureaucratic Nightmare

Found this at Power Line

Thanks For Those Memories, Michael!

OK. We’ve had an interesting week so far folks. We’ve lost some quality entertainers and dealt with more political scandal. AND on top of that, Congress is in the midst of passing that UNAMERICAN energy act. I don’t know about y’all, but I really can’t afford a 90% increase in my power bill.

But I digress. Since everyone has been talking about it, I might as well put in my half-a-penny (I can’t give two cents because we are in the WORST FINANCIAL CRISIS SINCE THE GREAT DEPRESSION --- or at least that is what the media keeps telling me).

With ALL DUE RESPECT to the family and friends of Michael Jackson, I would like to really give my opinions.

I first knew about Michael Jackson when I turned seven and we were living in Kansas. My next door neighbors included a 12 year old girl who was into just about everything that could be defined as “bubble gum pop” and most of all, The Jackson Five! I must have had to listen to ABC and I’ll Be There 50 times in one day. It was ok….but that 12 year old older woman made it worth while….. Thanks for those memories Michael!

When I lived in Korea and had just turned ten, Don’t Stop Till You Get Enough was on the radio all the time. I got so tired of that one and Rock With You. But then my parents bought me the “Off The Wall” LP. That’s right. It was an album – NOT A CD! – And I really thought it was great. The title track was really cool. But the thing I remember most from it is the song, She’s Out Of My Life. The military dependant services ran a youth club and they had dances for teens and pre-teens. At ten, I looked old enough to get in. And it never failed that there was that one girl at the dance. Most guys can relate. She was my mystery girl. We never really had any conversation but when She’s Out Of My Life played, we ended up slow dancing together. She was slightly shorter than me with a Kate Jackson hairstyle. She wore these dressed that really flattered her. She was cute and she was mine… at least for one dance a night. Thanks for those memories, Michael!

When I moved to California and was in Junior High (That’s what they called middle schools back in the day), Thriller came out. Songs like Billie Jean, Beat it, The Girl Is Mine, PYT and ok course, Thriller, were on my stereo and on MTV (Back then MUSIC TELEVISION actually played music videos all the time). The Thriller video minimovie was really cool! Now I had started really getting into heavy metal back then. I normally listened to Iron Maiden, AC-DC, Motley Crue, Van Halen, Journey, Ronnie James Dio. But I kept my musical tastes varied. So when I heard that Eddie Van Halen was on the song Beat it, that blew me away. What a cool way to crossover styles and tastes. The R&B kids and the hard rockers really appreciated it. And yes, there is a girl story to this era as well. I really a few good friends that I hung out with but also had some kids I hung out with through the squadron my dad was in. When I was fourteen, I went to the movies to see Return of the Jedi with one of the young enlisted girls in the squadron. She had become a family friend. She was 19, cute and we had a great time listening to the Thriller album after the movie….and that is all I will say about that. Thanks for those memories Michael!

The album BAD came out right before I started college at USC. At this point, I really didn’t care about it. BUT…. My first day at USC was spent at Band Camp….AND THIS ONE TIME….just kidding. Band Camp at college was a week that is designed to see who is going to stick it out. Half the day was outside marching and learning drill in the hot August sun in the humidity center of the state, and the other half was indoors learning and playing music. And then there was the nighttime. PARTIES, PARTIES, PARTIES! They would end at about 1 or 2 am….but yours truly was a big man and was invincible! So the heck with sleep…. I wandered the campus looking for fun. About 2:30 I met up with a group just hanging out and met this really sweet girl name Angela. She was a knockout! Seriously, I thought she was way out of my league…and she was… But we struck up a conversation and I figured that having another friend was the worst thing that could happen. I was a freshman and she was a junior. We went back to her apartment to hang out. She was a HUGE MJ fan. She already had everything he had done on CD. They were still relatively new at that time but we listened to every CD…including Bad. I really didn’t care for most of it…. But I sure did listen to it just to be in her presence for a little while longer. I never saw her again…. Partly my fault because I never got her number and never tried to find her place again either. But that one night was awesome! Thanks for those memories, Michael!

I really can’t say much to MJ’s other stuff. I saw Captain Eo. Wasn’t that great for a guy with bad eyes. I DID pay some attention to his little sister, Janet!

So, yeah, Michael Jackson has some chapters in his life that most of us don’t know the full story to and probably shouldn’t at this point. He’s gone now and it really doesn’t matter.

You see, I can despise things that celebrities have done when they shouldn’t have done them. And like Pete Rose and O.J. Simpson, I can appreciate what Michael Jackson did that was worthwhile….especially what it meant to me.

Thanks for those memories, Michael! May you rest in peace.

Sanford BLOWS it!

Based on current information: Sanford LEFT HIS DUTIES to take care of personal business involving HIS INFIDELITY WITHOUT PUTTING THINGS IN ORDER FOR THE GOVERNMENT AND BUSINESS OF THE STATE. He may have shown some accountability. But his disregard for his responsibilities to the state of South Carolina CANNOT go without consequential actions!

Feeling too good about yourself?

About the "Single-Payer" system

"Sanford met in Atlanta after returning from South America"

Not exactly the most media friendly thing to do. But if I was fighting for my state's sovereignty and got raped by the federal government while being held down by SC's supreme court.....AND NOT EVEN GIVEN THE COURTESY OF A REACH-AROUND... I might have skipped town for a "recharge" trip as well.

"ObamaCare by the Numbers" by SKYE at MIDNIGHTBLUESAYS.COM

852 - Pages in the bill

120 million - Number of individuals who could lose their current coverage as a result of the government-run plan reimbursing at Medicare rates created in the bill, according to non-partisan actuaries at the Lewin Group.

4.7 million - Number of jobs that could be lost as a result of taxes on businesses that cannot afford to provide health insurance coverage, according to a model developed by Council of Economic Advisors Chair Christina Romer.

$88,200 - Definition of "low-income" family of four for purposes of health insurance subsidies

Trillions - New federal spending, which likely could exceed the $1.6 trillion reported price tag of Senate Finance Committee Chairman Baucus' legislation.

32 - Entitlement programs the bill creates, expands, or extends.

48 - Additional offices, bureaus, commissions, programs, and bureaucracies the bill creates over and above the entitlement programs listed above.

1,367 - Uses of the word "shall," representing new duties to be carried out by federal bureaucrats and mandates on individuals, businesses, and States.

$10 billion - Minimum loss sustained by taxpayers every year due to Medicare fraud; the government-run health plan utilizes the same ineffective anti-fraud statutes and procedures that have kept Medicare on the Government Accountability Office's list of high-risk programs for two decades.

$1.75 billion - Mandatory spending on home visitation services that would educate parents on "skills to interact with their child."

Zero - Prohibitions on government programs like Medicare and Medicaid from using cost-effectiveness research to impose delays to or denials for access to life-saving treatments.

2017 - Year Medicare Hospital Insurance Trust Fund will be exhausted - a date unchanged by the legislation, which re-directs savings from Medicare to finance new entitlements for younger Americans.

On June 23, in a conference call, Congresswoman Alyson Schwartz proposed a 'sugar' tax to help pay for this monstrosity of a healthcare plan. The Dems plan to give you everything - especially the bill for everything. Think about that the next time you buy a Rita's Water Ice or Diet Coke - then again they may become a luxury the average American cannot afford.

MA'AM!!!

How dare you insult a General the way you did. I served for 24 years in the Air Force and the term Sir or Ma'am was one of respect. You obviously are nothing but a Self centered, egotistical, elitist. You and the rest of your ilk should be voted out of office come next election. Your value as a Senator is NIL, NOTHING, NADA.

Thank you MA'AM for letting me sound off!!! I am an American and since YOU work for WE THE PEOPLE, I have "earned" the right to say all I just said!!!!

I Told You So

The following is edited and updated based on my remarks and predictions given at the Heading Right Convention Night on Tuesday, August 26, 2008.

Barack Obama has proven me right as a rapacious demagogue. And as with most demagogues under the banner of liberalism, the issues are again being ignored in favor of an idol. It seems that more and more people tend to think that as long as that idol gets the power, the issues will be resolved. Consequently, the only time that happens is in totalitarian governments. And the result is the loss of liberty and even life. At the rate our government is going by trying to solve everything by giving itself more power, what it does for you and I won’t really matter.

The democrats have taken, and are continuing to take, increasing power to manage the government, the states, the counties, the towns, the homes…and even the individual. Barack Obama and his contemporaries not only want you to look to the government for all of your answers but also want to make sure that you will not have any non-governmental resources or entities to access…. including yourself.

Barack Obama, the true Barack Obama, has shown who he really is as president: a man who was raised with the familial and institutional teachings of Islam, a man who was mentored by Marxists he now emulates, a man who still thinks that evil dictators can be convinced to behave by either ignoring them or reaching out with a fist unclenched, a man with the most liberal voting record in American history.

The vote for the Obama presidency has proven to be the immediate and resounding vote:
- FOR Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Vladimir Putin, Kim Jong-il, and Hugo Rafael Chávez Frías
- FOR abortion on demand, the eradication of traditional marriage and family, and the elimination of freedom of religion
- FOR a weak national security and defense
- FOR a healthcare system that will kill more people that it will truly and fully help
- FOR further American dependence on other nations for energy and resources and a cessation to utilizing the guaranteed resources we already have.
- FOR a maliciously permanent change in the right of citizens to bear arms
- FOR a realistic resurgence of communism as a potential form of government in this country

Alexander Hamilton said, “A nation which can prefer disgrace to danger is prepared for a master, and deserves one.” And by voting for “CHANGE,” America chose disgrace on Election Day and more and more, a master (by his own import) IS now what we have in the White House.

On May 30, 1985, at Colonial Williamsburg, Virginia, Ronald Reagan said, “Our forefathers fought a revolution for two reasons: to give liberty to a naturally independent people and to secure, in the words of a Burgess who met here, ‘...Prosperity in the Community and Security to Individuals.’ The idea of freedom impelled them; it intoxicated them. And it is freedom that impels us still.”

The destiny of this nation is the wine distilled from the grapes of wrath, fermented in the vintage of sweet liberty. Liberty is meant to be a Blessing….and yet, WE THE PEOPLE are letting those who govern us treat liberty like a curse.

Forget your political ideologies and put those things that endear you to the idols that seek power under a shroud of Constitutional scrutiny. It is time again for the government to be by the people, of the people, and most importantly FOR THE PEOPLE!

Take action now. Call, write or email your local, county, state and federal representatives and promise them, regardless of their political affiliation, that unless they will cede the true power of our republic back to who it belongs – THE PEOPLE – you will do your best to rally against them, or anyone who would presume to emulate them politically, at the ballot box.

`Tis America I love
E’er the talons of the hawk
And the gentleness of the dove
With freedom’s banner I walk.

And I will stand with her people
In angst ridden toil or at carefree play,
And on my knees under the steeple
For God’s Blessings will I pray.

`Lo storm clouds of tyranny are near
They try to blind what I see
And deafen what I hear.
And put heavy chains on me.

If I fall under the burden of chains
There is still a truth clear to me
Even of me when nothing remains
My patriots heart will forever be free.

This nation’s beauty isn’t just that which is from sea to shining sea
The true beauty in this great nation is liberty for you and me.

A True American Patriot!

Glenn Beck: The Letter From Janet Contreras

I'm a home grown American citizen, 53, registered Democrat all my life. Before the last presidential election I registered as a Republican because I no longer felt the Democratic Party represents my views or works to pursue issues important to me. Now I no longer feel the Republican Party represents my views or works to pursue issues important to me. The fact is I no longer feel any political party or representative in Washington represents my views or works to pursue the issues important to me. There must be someone. Please tell me who you are. Please stand up and tell me that you are there and that you're willing to fight for our Constitution as it was written. Please stand up now. You might ask yourself what my views and issues are that I would horribly feel so disenfranchised by both major political parties. What kind of nut job am I? Will you please tell me?

Well, these are briefly my views and issues for which I seek representation:

One, illegal immigration. I want you to stop coddling illegal immigrants and secure our borders. Close the underground tunnels. Stop the violence and the trafficking in drugs and people. No amnesty, not again. Been there, done that, no resolution. P.S., I'm not a racist. This isn't to be confused with legal immigration.

Two, the TARP bill, I want it repealed and I want no further funding supplied to it. We told you no, but you did it anyway. I want the remaining unfunded 95% repealed. Freeze, repeal.

Three: Czars, I want the circumvention of our checks and balances stopped immediately. Fire the czars. No more czars. Government officials answer to the process, not to the president. Stop trampling on our Constitution and honor it.

Four, cap and trade. The debate on global warming is not over. There is more to say.

Five, universal healthcare. I will not be rushed into another expensive decision. Don't you dare try to pass this in the middle of the night and then go on break. Slow down!

Six, growing government control. I want states rights and sovereignty fully restored. I want less government in my life, not more. Shrink it down. Mind your own business. You have enough to take care of with your real obligations. Why don't you start there.

Seven, ACORN. I do not want ACORN and its affiliates in charge of our 2010 census. I want them investigated. I also do not want mandatory escrow fees contributed to them every time on every real estate deal that closes. Stop the funding to ACORN and its affiliates pending impartial audits and investigations. I do not trust them with taking the census over with our taxpayer money. I don't trust them with our taxpayer money. Face up to the allegations against them and get it resolved before taxpayers get any more involved with them. If it walks like a duck and talks like a duck, hello. Stop protecting your political buddies. You work for us, the people. Investigate.

Eight, redistribution of wealth. No, no, no. I work for my money. It is mine. I have always worked for people with more money than I have because they gave me jobs. That is the only redistribution of wealth that I will support. I never got a job from a poor person. Why do you want me to hate my employers? Why what do you have against shareholders making a profit?

Nine, charitable contributions. Although I never got a job from a poor person, I have helped many in need. Charity belongs in our local communities, where we know our needs best and can use our local talent and our local resources. Butt out, please. We want to do it ourselves.

Ten, corporate bailouts. Knock it off. Sink or swim like the rest of us. If there are hard times ahead, we'll be better off just getting into it and letting the strong survive. Quick and painful. Have you ever ripped off a Band Aid? We will pull together. Great things happen in America under great hardship. Give us the chance to innovate. We cannot disappoint you more than you have disappointed us.

Eleven, transparency and accountability. How about it? No, really, how about it? Let's have it. Let's say we give the buzzwords a rest and have some straight honest talk. Please try please stop manipulating and trying to appease me with clever wording. I am not the idiot you obviously take me for. Stop sneaking around and meeting in back rooms making deals with your friends. It will only be a prelude to your criminal investigation. Stop hiding things from me.

Twelve, unprecedented quick spending. Stop it now.
Take a breath. Listen to the people. Let's just slow down and get some input from some nonpoliticians on the subject. Stop making everything an emergency. Stop speed reading our bills into law. I am not an activist. I am not a community organizer. Nor am I a terrorist, a militant or a violent person. I am a parent and a grandparent. I work. I'm busy. I'm busy. I am busy, and I am tired. I thought we elected competent people to take care of the business of government so that we could work, raise our families, pay our bills, have a little recreation, complain about taxes, endure our hardships, pursue our personal goals, cut our lawn, wash our cars on the weekends and be responsible contributing members of society and teach our children to be the same all while living in the home of the free and land of the brave.

I entrusted you with upholding the Constitution. I believed in the checks and balances to keep from getting far off course. What happened? You are very far off course. Do you really think I find humor in the hiring of a speed reader to unintelligently ramble all through a bill that you signed into law without knowing what it contained? I do not. It is a mockery of the responsibility I have entrusted to you. It is a slap in the face. I am not laughing at your arrogance. Why is it that I feel as if you would not trust me to make a single decision about my own life and how I would live it but you should expect that I should trust you with the debt that you have laid on all of us and our children. We did not want the TARP bill. We said no. We would repeal it if we could. I am sure that we still cannot. There is such urgency and recklessness in all of the recent spending.

From my perspective, it seems that all of you have gone insane. I also know that I am far from alone in these feelings. Do you honestly feel that your current pursuits have merit to patriotic Americans? We want it to stop. We want to put the brakes on everything that is being rushed by us and forced upon us. We want our voice back. You have forced us to put our lives on hold to straighten out the mess that you are making. We will have to give up our vacations, our time spent with our children, any relaxation time we may have had and money we cannot afford to spend on you to bring our concerns to Washington. Our president often knows all the right buzzword is unsustainable. Well, no kidding. How many tens of thousands of dollars did the focus group cost to come up with that word? We don't want your overpriced words. Stop treating us like we're morons.

We want all of you to stop focusing on your reelection and do the job we want done, not the job you want done or the job your party wants done. You work for us and at this rate I guarantee you not for long because we are coming. We will be heard and we will be represented. You think we're so busy with our lives that we will never come for you? We are the formerly silent majority, all of us who quietly work , pay taxes, obey the law, vote, save money, keep our noses to the grindstone and we are now looking up at you. You have awakened us, the patriotic spirit so strong and so powerful that it had been sleeping too long. You have pushed us too far. Our numbers are great. They may surprise you. For every one of us who will be there, there will be hundreds more that could not come. Unlike you, we have their trust. We will represent them honestly, rest assured. They will be at the polls on voting day to usher you out of office. We have cancelled vacations. We will use our last few dollars saved. We will find the representation among us and a grassroots campaign will flourish. We didn't ask for this fight. But the gloves are coming off. We do not come in violence, but we are angry. You will represent us or you will be replaced with someone who will. There are candidates among us when he will rise like a Phoenix from the ashes that you have made of our constitution.

Democrat, Republican, independent, libertarian. Understand this. We don't care. Political parties are meaningless to us. Patriotic Americans are willing to do right by us and our Constitution and that is all that matters to us now. We are going to fire all of you who abuse power and seek more. It is not your power. It is ours and we want it back. We entrusted you with it and you abused it. You are dishonorable. You are dishonest. As Americans we are ashamed of you. You have brought shame to us. If you are not representing the wants and needs of your constituency loudly and consistently, in spite of the objections of your party, you will be fired. Did you hear? We no longer care about your political parties. You need to be loyal to us, not to them. Because we will get you fired and they will not save you. If you do or can represent me, my issues, my views, please stand up. Make your identity known. You need to make some noise about it.

Speak up. I need to know who you are. If you do not speak up, you will be herded out with the rest of the sheep and we will replace the whole damn congress if need be one by one. We are coming. Are we coming for you? Who do you represent? What do you represent? Listen. Because we are coming. We the people are coming.

And finally..... here it is!

EVAN THOMAS: "Well, we were the good guys in 1984, it felt that way. It hasn't felt that way in recent years. So Obama's had, really, a different task. We're seen too often as the bad guys. And he ... he has a very different job from ... Reagan was all about America, and you talked about it. Obama is 'we are above that now.' We're not just parochial, we're not just chauvinistic, we're not just provincial. We stand for something ... I mean in a way Obama's standing above the country, above ... above the world, he's sort of god. He's..."

MATTHEWS: "Yeah."

THOMAS: "He's going to bring all different sides together."

The bible gives a great example in Jeremiah of what is happening to this nation because of false gods and those who worship them.

Hear and give ear; be not proud, for the LORD has spoken.
Give glory to the LORD your God before he brings darkness,
before your feet stumble on the twilight mountains, and while you look for light he turns it into gloom and makes it deep darkness.
But if you will not listen, my soul will weep in secret for your pride; my eyes will weep bitterly and run down with tears, because the LORD’s flock has been taken captive.
Say to the king and the queen mother: "Take a lowly seat,
for your beautiful crown has come down from your head."
The cities of the Negeb are shut up, with none to open them;
all Judah is taken into exile, wholly taken into exile.
"Lift up your eyes and see those who come from the north.
Where is the flock that was given you, your beautiful flock?
What will you say when they set as head over you those whom you yourself have taught to be friends to you? Will not pangs take hold of you like those of a woman in labor?
And if you say in your heart, 'Why have these things come upon me?' it is for the greatness of your iniquity that your skirts are lifted up and you suffer violence.
Can the Ethiopian change his skin or the leopard his spots?
Then also you can do good who are accustomed to do evil.
I will scatter you like chaff driven by the wind from the desert.
This is your lot, the portion I have measured out to you, declares the LORD, because you have forgotten me and trusted in lies.
I myself will lift up your skirts over your face, and your shame will be seen.
I have seen your abominations, your adulteries and neighings, your lewd whorings, on the hills in the field. Woe to you, O Jerusalem! How long will it be before you are made clean?" - Jeremiah 13:15-27 ESV

No matter how you feel about him as president, be warned that by considering him god, you will be doing Satan's bidding.

May the glory of the Almighty God be everything we strive for in Jesus' precious, holy name.

Josh Allem's take on the death of George Tiller

On May 31, Abortionist George Tiller was gunned down in his church. That is tragic to say the least. What is even more tragic is the thousands of babies murdered by this man. So before you condemm the assassin, listen to this take on the issue by Joshua P. Allem. Click HERE to listen to one of the best MP3s I have heard in a very long time.
