The List of 45

Years ago, a brave soul or two tried to bring to the attention of the American People that the Communist take over of America was well under way. They were chattered down and pretty much ignored through space and time. Much like today. Yet, we see every day or, at least which are tuned into reality, our political machinations stripping away at our freedoms time and time again.

It is called Identity Politics. It is called Multiculturalism. It is called Why Can't We All Get Along? It is called all manner of colored and disguised names and titles. Now, in these modern times, one can also include Cultural Jihad.

In today's rough and tumble and troubled times, we see that the ignorance of the masses has indeed brought about MANY policies of which, left unabated and unchallenged, will see the dreams and goals of the First Czarina of The United Socialist States of the Former United Free States of America. That Czarina would be the Madame Rodham, her supporters and her like-minded politicos.

Below is what I have called, The List of 45.

In the comments section, if you have a mind to, please list the items that you have seen become a reality. I have my list and it is truly eye-opening. Do you have a list? If not, you need to establish your list so you can Fight the Good Fight. Our very survival is at stake.

The communist goals were entered into the Congressional record by Albert Herlong, Jr. (a Floridian who served in Congress from 1949-69).

1) US acceptance of coexistence as the only alternative to atomic war.
2) US willingness to capitulate in preference to engaging in atomic war.
3) Develop the illusion that total disarmament by the US would be a demonstration of "moral strength."



4) Permit free trade between all nations regardless of Communist affiliation and regardless of whether or not items could be used for war.

5) Extension of long term loans to Russia and Soviet Satellites.

6) Provide American aid to all nations regardless of Communist domination.



7) Grant recognition of Red China, and admission of Red China to the UN.

8) Set up East and West Germany as separate states in spite of Khrushchev's promise in 1955 to settle the Germany question by free elections under supervision of the UN.

9) Prolong the conferences to ban atomic tests because the US has agreed to suspend tests as long as negotiations are in progress. (A standard liberal practice)

10) Allow all Soviet Satellites individual representation in the UN. (Even though there is no USSR, the allowance is still happening in the UN today)

11) Promote the UN as the only hope for mankind. If its charter is rewritten, demand that it be set up as a one world government with its own independent armed forces. (The UN has been placed in an almost ideological ex post facto dictatorial role by so many nations)

12) Resist any attempt to outlaw the Communist Party. (Free Speech really answers this one.)

13) Do away with loyalty oaths. (It’s happening more and more)

14) Continue giving Russia access to the US Patent Office.

15) Capture one or both of the political parties in the US. (With one of Obama’s Czars is a know self professed Communist…”

16) Use technical decisions of the courts to weaken basic American institutions, by claiming their activities violate civil rights. (ACLU)

17) Get control of the schools. Use them as transmission belts for Socialism, and current Communist propaganda. Soften the curriculum. Get control of teachers associations. Put the party line in text books. (This happened because of a national education department)

18) Gain control of all student newspapers. (There are practically no unbiased or conservative papers at any major American college)

19) Use student riots to foment public protests against programs or organizations which are under Communist attack. (Bill Ayers comes to mind)

20) Infiltrate the press. Get control of book review assignments, editorial writing, policy-making positions. (Notice how most major media outlets critique things from a decidedly left hue)

21) Gain control of key positions in radio, TV & motion pictures. (The main stream media comes to mind)

22) Continue discrediting American culture by degrading all form of artistic expression. An American Communist cell was told to "eliminate all good sculpture from parks and buildings," substitute shapeless, awkward, and meaningless forms.

23) Control art critics and directors of art museums. "Our plan is to promote ugliness, repulsive, meaningless art."

24) Eliminate all laws governing obscenity by calling them "censorship" and a violation of free speech and free press.

25) Break down cultural standards of morality by promoting pornography, and obscenity in books, magazines, motion pictures, radio and TV.

26) Present homosexuality, degeneracy, and promiscuity as "normal, natural, and healthy."

27) Infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with "social" religion. Discredit the Bible and emphasize the need for intellectual maturity, which does not need a "religious crutch."



28) Eliminate prayer or any phase of religious expression in the schools on the grounds that it violates the principle of "separation of church and state."

29) Discredit the American Constitution by calling it inadequate, old fashioned, out of step with modern needs, a hindrance to cooperation between nations on a worldwide basis.

30) Discredit the American founding fathers. Present them as selfish aristocrats who had no concern for the "common man".

31) Belittle all forms of American culture and discourage the teaching of American history on the ground that it was only a minor part of "the big picture": Give more emphasis to Russian history since the Communists took over.

32) Support any socialist movement to give centralized control over any part of the culture - - education, social agencies, welfare programs, mental health clinics, etc.

33) Eliminate all laws or procedures, which interfere with the operation of the Communist apparatus.

34) Eliminate the House Committee on Un-American Activities. (Done in 1975)

35) Discredit and eventually dismantle the FBI. (or usurp the FBI’s administration as the liberals have done)

36) Infiltrate and gain control of more unions.




37) Infiltrate and gain control of big business.




38) Transfer some of the powers of arrest from the police to social agencies. Treat all behavioral problems as psychiatric disorders which no one but psychiatrists can understand or treat.

39) Dominate the psychiatric profession and use mental health laws as a means of gaining coercive control over those who oppose Communist goals.


40) Discredit the family as an institution. Encourage promiscuity and easy divorce. (With people wanting to marry anyone and anything… and be able to divorce as easily as a breath…)

41) Emphasize the need to raise children away from the negative influence of parents. Attribute prejudices, mental blocks and retarding of children to suppressive influence of parents. (“It Takes a Village” comes to mind)

42) Create the impression that violence and insurrection are legitimate aspects of the American tradition; that students and special interest groups should rise up and make a "united force" to solve economic, political, or social problems. (Student protests starting getting violent in the 60s)

43) Overthrow all colonial governments before native populations are ready for self-government.

44) Internationalize the Panama Canal. (Carter essentially did that in 1977)

45) Repeal the Connally Reservation so the US can not prevent the World Court from seizing jurisdiction over domestic problems. Give the World Court jurisdiction over domestic problems. Give the World Court jurisdiction over nations and individuals alike. (Continuously happening to this day)

Circa 1956, or so, the Top Dog of the USSR, Nikita Kruschev pounded his shoe on the podium of the United Nations and shouted to the West, "We will bury you!"
Many had no idea what this meant and said openly that they would have to have that translated. Some scoffed at the concept at the USSR burying the West but hind sight is now 20-20. It shows that we should NEVER take for granted that this and that can never happen to us and to take all threats seriously and keep a watchful eye on the enemy in both peace time and during war. I would go as far as saying that it would be wiser to keep a more watchful eye on the enemy in peace time whether than war time.

Cooler heads prevailed and with the USSR waltzing through Europe and the Middle East, the United States proceeded to build up the United States military and created the most powerful military in the world and in history. Thus remains true to this date. Unfortunately, while the military gained prominence in the world, we allowed our political machinations go unchecked and naturally assumed that the politicians knew what they were doing. Some did. Some didn't.

There were and, still are, two kinds of those that did know what they were doing. Some were devout socialists that penetrated the American political scene and some recognized that threat but were scorned and frowned upon because certainly, this socialist take-over surely could not happen. No one would choose socialism/communism over the American Federal Republic. They have been proven wrong and it is time to wake the hell up. There are many kinds of politicians that have no idea what they are doing and it is very much evident when you hear them speak.

Liberal activists, read that communist operatives, gained positions of political office throughout American on the local, State and Federal levels. Impossible you say? Conspiratorial you say? Perhaps; but the evidence puts to rest the conspiratorial over tones.

American law making processes have gradually, through the years, and nearly assimilated into American society laws that will give a natural and seemingly painless pathway to drift into full-blown Communism in downtown America. "The Communist program from the start has been one which sees their revolution of 1917 successful only upon total domination of the world. We Americans are the singularly most compassionate in the world, the most benevolent and the most naive people there have ever been. We even believe that Communism is dead because the Berlin Wall came down. Communism ain't dead. It is called something else. It is called "progressive". It is called "Social Democracy". It is called "Democracy". Some even call it "International Democracy"...think George Soros here. Political Correctness has blind-sided those that merely go along with the emotionally weak.

There are others that claim that DC has become part of the New World Order of atheist governments. Whereas that can be argued, I would not go that far but I do see a resemblance of this in the current political climate. The Iron Curtain has come down in Europe and there are indeed proponents within the United Sates that would like to raise it here at home and give birth to what I have come to call the New United Socialist States of the North American Continent, including Canada, seeing that parts of Canada has indeed succumb to socialist ideals and thought and speech control.

With that said, it is a matter of record and fact that our American Politicians have supported and passed legislation during the years spanning from the early 1960s to 2008. They are anti-Christian, anti-American statutes and regulations on the federal, state, and local levels. They are oddly reminiscent of the original ten planks of the Communist Manifesto written by Karl Marx in 1848.

Listed below are 10 key "laws" which have become part of the every day life of the American populace. "The American people have truly been 'buried in Communism'" and they do not even know it or not aware of it. Not one "main stream" political party is to blame. Both Democrat and Republican parties are to blame with the majority of socialistic yearning members being in the DNC and a great number in the GOP...we call them RINOs and I now dub the socialist Democrats DINOs.

Each of the Ten Planks is noted below with annotations of laws passed in the US Legislative Processes. Be afraid and wake the hell up.

1. Abolition of private property and the application of all rent to public purpose.
The 14th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution (1868), and various zoning, school & property taxes. Also the Bureau of Land Management.

2. A heavy progressive or graduated income tax.
Misapplication of the 16th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution, 1913, The Social Security Act of 1936.; Joint House Resolution 192 of 1933; and various State "income" taxes. We call it "paying your fair share".

3. Abolition of all rights of inheritance.
We call it Federal & State estate Tax (1916); or reformed Probate Laws, and limited inheritance via arbitrary inheritance tax statutes.

4. Confiscation of the property of all emigrants and rebels.
We call in government seizures, tax liens, Public "law" 99-570 (1986); Executive Order 11490, sections 1205, 2002 which gives private land to the Department of Urban Development; the imprisonment of "terrorists" and those who speak out or write against the "government" (1997 Crime/Terrorist Bill); or the IRS confiscation of property without due process.

5. Centralization of credit in the hands of the State, by means of a national bank with state capital and an exclusive monopoly.
We call it the Federal Reserve which is a credit/debt system nationally organized by the Federal Reserve act of 1913. All local banks are members of the Fed system, and are regulated by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC).

6. Centralization of the means of communication and transportation in the hands of the State.
We call it the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and Department of Transportation (DOT) mandated through the ICC act of 1887, the Commissions Act of 1934, The Interstate Commerce Commission established in 1938, The Federal Aviation Administration, Federal Communications Commission, and Executive Orders 11490, 10999, as well as State mandated driver's licenses and Department of Transportation regulations.

7. Extension of factories and instruments of production owned by the State, the bringing into cultivation of waste lands, and the improvement of the soil generally in accordance with a common plan.
We call it corporate capacity, The Desert Entry Act and The Department of Agriculture. As well as the Department of Commerce and Labor, Department of Interior, the Evironmental Protection Agency, Bureau of Land Management, Bureau of Reclamation, Bureau of Mines, National Park Service, and the IRS control of business through corporate regulations.

8. Equal liability of all to labor. Establishment of Industrial armies, especially for agriculture.
We call it the Social Security Administration and The Department of Labor. The National debt and inflation caused by the communal bank has caused the need for a two "income" family. Woman in the workplace since the 1920's, the 19th amendment of the U.S. Constitution, the Civil Rights Act of 1964, assorted Socialist Unions, affirmative action, the Federal Public Works Program and of course Executive Order 11000.

9. Combination of agriculture with manufacturing industries; gradual abolition of the distinction between town and country by a more equable distribution of the population over the country. We call it the Planning Reorganization act of 1949 , zoning (Title 17 1910-1990) and Super Corporate Farms, as well as Executive orders 11647, 11731 (ten regions) and Public "law" 89-136.

10. Free education for all children in government schools. Abolition of children's factory labor in its present form. Combination of education with industrial production, etc. etc.
People are being taxed to support what we call 'public' schools, which train the young to work for the communal debt system. We also call it the Department of Education, the NEA and Outcome Based "Education".

So I ask you...does changing the words, change the end result? By using different words is it all of a sudden OK? We are so "smart," aren't we??

Ladies and Gentleman, not only are we in a war; a Global War On Terror, we are in a war right here in the Continental United States and her "offspring" and territories.

What are your freedoms worth? What price is your soul? To whom and to what do you swear your allegiance to?

Recent sermon from a church in Virginia - Gen 47:13-27

Good morning, brothers and sisters; it's always a delight to see the pews crowded on Sunday morning, and so eager to get into God's Word.

Turn with me in your Bibles, if you will, to the 47th chapter of Genesis; we'll begin our reading at verse 13, and go through verse 27.

Brother Ray, would you stand and read that great passage for us?...

Thank you for that fine reading, Brother Ray. So we see that economic hard times fell upon Egypt, and the people turned to the government of Pharaoh to deal with this for them. And Pharaoh nationalized the grain harvest, and placed the grain in great storehouses that he had built.

So the people brought their money to Pharaoh, like a great tax increase, and gave it all to him willingly in return for grain. And this went on until their money ran out, and they were hungry again.

So when they went to Pharaoh after that, they brought their livestock - their cattle, their horses, their sheep, and their donkey - to barter for grain, and verse 17 says that only took them through the end of that year.

But the famine wasn't over, was it? So the next year, the people came before Pharaoh and admitted they had nothing left, except their land and their own lives. "There is nothing left in the sight of my lord but our bodies and our land. Why should we die before your eyes, both we and our land? Buy us and our land for food, and we with our land will be servants to Pharaoh." So they surrendered their homes, their land, and their real estate to Pharaoh's government, and then sold themselves into slavery to him, in return for grain.

What can we learn from this, brothers and sisters? That turning to the government instead of to God to be our provider in hard times only leads to slavery? Yes. That the only reason government wants to be our provider is to a lso become our master? Yes.

But look how that passage ends, brothers and sisters! Thus Israel settled in the land of Egypt, in the land of Goshen. And they gained possessions in it, and were fruitful and multiplied greatly." God provided for His people, just as He always has! They didn't end up giving all their possessions to the government, no, it says they gained possessions!

But I also tell you a great truth today, and an ominous one. We see the same thing happening today - the government today wants to "share the wealth" once again, to take it from us and redistribute it back to us. It wants to take control of healthcare, just as it has taken control of education, and ration it back to us, and when government rations it, then government decides who gets it, and how much, and what kind.

And if we go along with it, and do it willingly, then we will wind up no differently than the people of Egypt did four thousand years ago - as slaves to the government, and as slaves to our leaders.

What Mr. Obama's government is doing now is no different from what Pharaoh's government did then, and it will end the same.. And a lot of people like to call Mr. Obama a “Messiah," don't they? Is he a Messiah? A savior? Didn't the Egyptians say, after Pharaoh made them his slaves, "You have saved our lives; may it please my lord, we will be servants to Pharaoh?"

Well, I tell you this - I know the Messiah; the Messiah is a friend of mine; and Mr. Obama is no Messiah! No, brothers and sisters, if Mr. Obama is a character from the Bible, then he is Pharaoh.

Bow with me in prayer, if you will.

Lord, You alone are worthy to be served, and we rely on You, and You alone. We confess that the government is not our deliverer, and never rightly will be. We read in the eighth chapter of 1 Samuel, when Samuel warned the people of what a ruler would do, where it says "And in that day you will cry out because of your king, whom you have chosen for yourselves, but the LORD will not answer you in that day." And Lord, we acknowledge that day has come. We cry out to you because of the ruler that we have chosen for ourselves as a nation. Lord, we pray for this nation. We pray for revival, and we pray for deliverance from those who would be our masters.

Give us hearts to seek You and hands to serve You, and protect Your people from the atrocities of Pharaoh's government.

The Ridiculous Brouhaha over the "Brewhaha"

It’s been called “B3,” “Beerfest,” and “Brewhaha,” but the hullabaloo about the powwow over the debacle regarding Harvard Professor Gates and Sergeant Crawley of the Cambridge, MA Police is getting out of hand, and the blame is owned by President Obama himself. Sadly, while Obama can apologize all day and night for America to the rest of the world, he can’t bring himself to apologize for butting in, making racial presumptions, and making this a national affair when it doesn’t need to be. But that really was his plan after all.

His health care reform plans are not going like he planned or desired and during a press conference about it, when he was bombing miserably, someone brought up the incident regarding Gates and Crawley.

Why?

The question was asked so that President Obama could appear authoritative on an issue of race. But it wasn’t a head-of-state that responded to that question. It was a community organizer who showed up and responded. It was akin to comments made by an activist like Al Sharpton, automatically defending the minority involved without getting all the facts.

In my humble opinion, the Presidential thing to say would have been, “I do not have all of the facts about the incident and would prefer not to respond on what is a local matter. Professor Gates is a friend of mine, and I hope all involved are okay and that this can be dealt with in the most professional candor.” But instead he stated that he didn’t have all of the facts and that the Cambridge Police “acted stupidly”. There is no other interpretation that could have been “calibrated” from Obama’s comments on the matter. So, the President of the United States, who hasn’t taken the time to read the enormous bills written by the House and Senate, will take time to drink a beer with two men at a picnic table – so that HE can promulgate a “teaching moment.” But who does he hope to school? Gates? Crawley?

America is getting schooled in just how ridiculous this president is, and this is just the latest example of how a community organizer should not be a president!

Carter had Sadat and Begin at Camp David.

Clinton had Barak and Arafat at Camp David>

And now in the finest of Democratic Traditions, Obama will meet with Gates and Crawley at a picnic table.

Carter’s works didn’t last that long, And Clinton was only mildly successful. How will Obama do? At a picnic table?

What’s next…? Bong hits in the Rose Garden uniting East Coast and West Coast rappers?

Obama nominee: Animals can sue people

This is the kind of stuff we conservatives were trying to warm you independents about. While I do agree that economically, fiscally, and socially John McCain probably wouldn't have been or done much different that Obama, I am pretty sure he wouldn't bring Doogie Howser, Captain Kangaroo, H. R. Puff-n-Stuff and Mr. Snuffalupagus on as "experts" to control things. Thanks again, Liberals!

Obama nominee: Animals can sue people

A consumer-freedom group says President Obama's nominee for "regulatory czar" is an "animal-rights zealot" who may make life difficult for hunters and meat-eaters.

Senator John Cornyn (R-Texas) has placed a hold on the nomination of legal scholar Cass Sunstein to head the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs at the Office of Budget and Management. Cornyn is worried that the Harvard professor may push an aggressive animal-rights agenda in the White House. Sunstein has argued in favor of outlawing sport hunting and meat-eating, and written that animals should be allowed to file lawsuits "with human beings as their representatives."

David Martosko with the Center for Consumer Freedom shares Cornyn's concern.

"If Cass Sunstein is ultimately confirmed to be the regulatory czar, having an animal-rights zealot in that position for the first time could be problematic for Americans who love to hunt, who like seeing circuses, [who like] having animals, who like taking their kids to the zoo, who like feeding their children meat and milk at lunch time," he warns.

"This is a guy who I would think will use every means at his disposal to push the radical animal-rights agenda."

According to Martosko, Sunstein may one day be appointed to the U.S. Supreme Court -- so Senators Cornyn and Saxby Chambliss (R-Georgia) have both placed holds on Sunstein's nomination because they want the constitutional lawyer on the record now so that if he does something different they will be able to use it against him in a future confirmation hearing.

Coming off the Congressional Budget Office’s announcement that the Democrats’ government takeover of health care will drive up costs and add hundreds of billions to the deficit, President Obama and his allies are scrambling to try and build support for the expensive plan. In fact, Washington Democrats are so desperate to take attention off of a government takeover’s costs to consumers and all taxpayers, the President is planning a television blitz and nationwide barnstorming tour. But the problem is, the more the President stumps for his government takeover of health care, the more the American people oppose it. According to a Washington Post story titled “Poll Shows Obama Slipping on Key Issues; Approval Rating on Health Care Falls Below 50 Percent,” a new Washington Post/ABC poll shows that the Democrats’ health care proposal has lost significant support over the last few months. Specifically:

- For the first time, less than 50 percent approve of President Obama’s handling of health care (49-44). A third of respondents “strongly disapprove” while only a quarter “strongly approve.”

- There was a 15-point jump in disapproval since April when his approval on the issue was 57-29.

- Independents now disapprove by 44-49, down from 53-30 at the 100-day mark, according to the Post article.


A major hurdle for the White House is that some of those expressing the most concerns about the Democrats’ government takeover are men and women from within the President’s own Party: Democratic governors and Blue Dog Democrats in Congress. Following is just a sampling of what Democrats across the country have been saying in recent days about the President’s government-run health care proposal:

House Republican Leader John Boehner (R-OH) echoed Rep. Boyd in an op-ed this morning on Yahoo News, when he urged Democrats to shelve their costly government takeover and work with Republicans on a real health care reform plan to reduce costs and expand Americans’ coverage to quality care. The concerns being voiced by Democratic governors and Blue Dogs echo the warnings issued last month when GOP Govs. Jim Douglas (VT) and Mike Rounds (SD) joined Republican congressional leaders on Capitol Hill to warn that the health care legislation being discussed by Washington Democrats would hurt, not help, the American people.

With the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office warning about a government takeover’s costs to families, small businesses, and all taxpayers and Democratic officeholders expressing the same concerns, isn’t it time for President Obama and his Democratic allies in Washington to stop their desperate attempts to build support for this flawed plan – and start working with Republicans in a bipartisan way to give Americans better access to affordable health care?

Don't Kid Yourselves. It's NOT Health CARE Reform

I have become sick and tired of the misleading phrase "health care reform." The proposal before Congress right now is not care reform, but health care PAYER reform. If anything, the quality and quantity of actual care will diminish if this passes. Apply the plan to another somewhat comparable service:

Does a highly paid celebrity or major corporation trust civil law enforcement for their protection? \

Nope, celebrities, potentates, and corporations usually pay for their own security. In fact if government run law enforcement were the only security, there would be tons more crime. Private security has been around for hundreds of years in differing forms BECAUSE civil law enforcement is just not adequate for protection of everyone who needs it.

Please understand that I intend no disrespect towards any level of civil or government law enforcement. Just the contrary, I respect and sincerely appreciate the men and women of law enforcement. But in many cases, private security does a great job of protection and supplemental deterrence so that civil law enforcement doesn’t have to strain its own resources and end up neglecting those it is charged with serving and protecting.

In essence, if it weren’t for PRIVATELY PAID security, the level of civil protection and service would be disastrously inadequate. And while there certainly are some kinks and flaws in government run AND privately run law enforcement/security, those problems would be exponentially worse and in some cases catastrophic.

The same thing would happen if applied to the nation’s actual health CARE system.

Congress is deceiving all of us by using the misnomer it does. In the proposed bill, there is no true reform to the actual CARE but only in how health care is paid for. This bill is not doing anything that would benefit doctors or patients. All it does is change how the people will pay for healthcare…. Mainly by increasing taxes. AND it plans to usurp and maintain control of people’s choices of what care they will actually receive. And the ultimate sufferers will be those that a bureaucracy deems unworthy of care or too expensive to cover.

It will get so bad that Eugenics will again be flirted with and finally advocated as the only way the government can truly afford what it is now dreaming up.

In a world where eugenics and government run/provided healthcare go hand in hand is a world where you would never be reading this. Because I am blind and because it has been evident that my blindness is a hereditary condition, the government would deem me not worthy of the cost of the specific needs of my healthcare and I would most likely have been aborted or if not, genetically engineered to have eyes that did not need specialized care. That doesn’t mean I would not be blind, just that the genetic alterations would be done so that no cost would be needed to spend on my eyes or improvement of sight.

That is not acceptable. The government would gain even more control over it’s citizenry by determining what fetus lives and what fetus is murdered in favor of saving money… Or even worse, whom the government deems worthy of living.

The so-called “progressives” the liberals label themselves are the misguided champions of a society that would annihilate individual rights and true justice for all.

I urge you to call your congressman and senator and tell them they would lose your support if they continue with promoting the so-called healthcare reform bill. Remember that they work for and serve us. They DO NOT rule over us.

As a nation or individuals, let’s work together to pressure those who really can have an effect on health CARE. We have to give health CARE workers – doctors, nurses, therapists, technicians, etc. – the ability to do what they desire to do – treat us. How do we do this? We need Tort reform and we need to advocate for medical practitioners OVER any insurance and payment issue.

We the people MUST be willing to work with healthcare providers WITHOUT forcing them to worry about malpractice. Yes, if a doctor makes a mistake or does something wrong, he or she must be held accountable…. But not to the point where all doctors are afraid to do their jobs because they can’t afford malpractice insurance or by trying to heal, they get sued because of something that may go wrong. Negligence is one thing, but these days, people seem to give higher consideration to blame and sue to make a buck, rather than know that medicine is an art that has risks that may cause complications. Furthermore, if the government gets control over the payer system of healthcare, we won’t have any malpractice claims because many procedures would be disqualified as either too expensive or superfluous for patients not deemed worthy of the procedure.

And finally… If the people who are proposing this wonderful reform to our healthcare system refuse to be a part of it as customers, why should we?

In the days ahead, you are likely to hear more and more about the legal battle we are waging in the U.S. Supreme Court to stop North Carolina from cutting off a significant portion of South Carolina's water supply.

It's true this fight is about water. But it's also about our jobs and our economic future.

The State of North Carolina, aided by Charlotte-based Duke Energy, is attempting to divert 72 million gallons of water per day from the Catawba River basin, water which now flows directly into South Carolina, from the upstate to the midlands.

If unchecked, their actions would leave vast portions of South Carolina high and dry.

It could cripple the economy and cause great hardship for businesses and families throughout the region.

Also, if they succeed, Atlanta and the State of Georgia would be given the green light to divert water away from the Savannah River, causing even greater peril for South Carolina's economy.

Because of your role of leadership, I wanted you to understand what we are doing and why.

First of fall, let me stress that the actions my office is taking are totally unrelated to the current surface water legislation in the South Carolina General Assembly. Our focus is solely on the effort by North Carolina and Duke Energy to cut off significant portions of our State's water supply.

Here are the facts:

In January 2007, North Carolina approved an "inter-basin" transfer permit which would have allowed two of its cities, Kannapolis and Concord, to divert ten million gallons of water per day from the Catawba River. Earlier permits allowed an additional 62 million gallons per day, for a grand total - to date - of at least 72 millions gallons per day.

South Carolina had no knowledge of these earlier permits. We only learned of the one for Kannapolis and Concord while it was in progress.

Daily water diversions that large could dramatically cut the water supply to York, Chester, Fairfield, Kershaw, Lancaster, Sumter and Richland counties, which contain the Catawba-Wateree basin. It could also impair the water supply further downstream along the Santee and Cooper Rivers. Future diversions would hurt us even more.

The impact?

Industries that depend on access to water could be lost and economic development efforts crippled at a time when we have the third highest jobless rate in the country. Businesses of many kinds, as well as tourism, agriculture, and recreation would suffer.

At first, we attempted to avoid litigation. We asked North Carolina to reconsider. We proposed a bi-state compact to work on a compromise. For six months, they ignored us.

Given no alternative, we brought a federal lawsuit against North Carolina to stop them. But instead of filing the case here, we went directly to the United States Supreme Court, asking it to decide an equitable way to apportion water flow between the two states.

The Supreme Court granted our request, agreeing to hear the case itself in its' original jurisdiction as a trial court, the 138th time in our nation's history it has done so.

We were well on our way to resolving the dispute. But the process was significantly delayed in the fall of 2007. Duke Energy, a North Carolina based company, and the City of Charlotte filed petitions to intervene in support of North Carolina's petition, and they are now working closely together on legal strategy.

Among other things, Duke is claiming legal title to any and all "excess" water in the river. Duke's and Charlotte's intervention has complicated the case and greatly increased the cost of litigation to the taxpayers of South Carolina.

Fortunately, others have backed our position. In the spring of 2009, the U.S. Solicitor General announced that the federal government was supporting South Carolina's efforts to have Duke and Charlotte removed from the case. In his legal brief, he argued correctly that the dispute should be limited to the two states.

Despite tight budgets, many of our state's business and political leaders vigorously joined the effort. Our General Assembly has shown leadership and determination by fully funding the case. The state homebuilders and realtors associations have also generously provided funds.

South Carolina municipalities have contributed, too, including York and Fairfield counties, Lugoff and Great Falls as well as the Lake Wateree Homeowners Association.

I am grateful to them all.

Our case has yet to be heard on its merits in Washington. But in the meantime, Duke recently applied for a certification from the S.C. Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) for the five dams it operates on the Catawba-Wateree River system in South Carolina.

In its request, Duke agreed to provide 25% of water to South Carolina along the Catawba River, a flow which we believe fails to protect our state from drought and from excessive water withdrawals. Most importantly, DHEC's approval would have undercut the case we have pending in the U.S. Supreme Court on the same subject.

For all those reasons, I asked the DHEC board on July 9th to delay the certification so my office could work with DHEC to address our legal concerns. In response, the DHEC board simply denied Duke Energy's certification request entirely, which was a victory for common sense.

This case is of historic importance.

This is a fight for South Carolina rights. It's a fight for our prosperity, for economic development and for the well- being of our businesses and families for generations to come.

It is a fight we must win. No issue is more important to our state's future.

"Investor's Business Daily, a great editorial today on the Obama health care plan passed by the House of Representatives. How many of you have heard President Obama say, "Hey, if you like your plan, if you like your doctor, you'll get to keep 'em"? "It didn't take long to run into an "uh-oh" moment when reading the House's 'health care for all Americans' bill. Right there on Page 16 is a provision making individual private medical insurance illegal. When we first saw the paragraph Tuesday, just after the 1,018-page document was released, we thought we surely must be misreading it. So we sought help from the House Ways and Means Committee. It turns out we were right: The provision would indeed outlaw individual private coverage. Under the Orwellian header of 'Protecting The Choice To Keep Current Coverage,' the 'Limitation On New Enrollment' section of the bill clearly states: 'Except as provided in this paragraph, the individual health insurance issuer offering such coverage does not enroll any individual in such coverage if the first effective date of coverage is on or after the first day' of the year the legislation becomes law."

So after this bill becomes law, nobody in the insurance business can offer anybody and you can't buy private medical insurance. "So we can all keep our coverage, just as promised -- with, of course, exceptions: Those who currently have private individual coverage won't be able to change it. Nor will those who leave a company to work for themselves be free to buy individual plans from private carriers." You will have to go to the public option. "From the beginning, opponents of the public option plan have warned that if the government gets into the business of offering subsidized health insurance coverage, the private insurance market will wither." And you don't need to be an expert to understand this. The government can print money, it doesn't have to make a profit. Private sector people do or they go out of business. So you can't compete with somebody who's not worried about profit.

"Drawn by a public option that will be 30% to 40% cheaper than their current premiums because taxpayers will be funding it, employers will gladly scrap their private plans and go with Washington's coverage." We also know this. We know that many companies are looking very forward to off-loading their health care expenses to the government. "The nonpartisan Lewin Group estimated in April that 120 million or more Americans could lose their group coverage at work and end up in such a program. That would leave private carriers with 50 million or fewer customers. This could cause the market to, as Lewin Vice President John Sheils put it, 'fizzle out altogether.' What wasn't known until now is that the bill itself will kill the market for private individual coverage by not letting any new policies be written after the public option becomes law. The legislation is also likely to finish off health savings accounts." Do you know HSAs are dead? And the reason health savings accounts are dead is because you have control.

This is something that Obama and his cronies want to get rid of, and it's in the legislation. Democrats have wanted to get rid of health savings accounts for years. They want to get rid of that because nothing gives individuals more control over their Medicare and the government less than health savings accounts. It took Investor's Business Daily just 16 pages of reading the health care bill, over a thousand pages, to find this naked attempt by the political powers to increase their reach. So that's page 16, and they wonder what other horrors await us as we read the additional 1,002 pages here. So the day this private option becomes law nobody can buy and nobody can sell individual, private coverage. (interruption) Well, that's a good point. Obama has said, no, we need to offer this competition. We need to compete. The government competing, and they're already over a thousand insurance companies in competition out there. The governor, well, we need to really put pressure on them.

So the way they're going to put pressure on them is put them out of business. It's a horror story. It really is. This is why they're trying to push this through, folks, this is why they're trying to get all this done 'cause they know their buds in the State-Run Media are not gonna report this to you. This is not going to be told. Now, this is interesting from the Dow Jones News wire just now: "U.S. Rep. Mike Ross, D-Ark., a leader of fiscally conservative House Democrats, said Wednesday a House plan to overhaul the U.S. health-care system is losing support and will be stuck in committee without changes. 'Last time I checked, it takes seven Democrats to stop a bill in the Energy and Commerce Committee,' Ross told reporters after a House vote. 'We had seven against it last Friday; we have 10 today.' Three House committees are slated to begin considering the $1 trillion-plus bill this week, but the Energy and Commerce looms as the biggest challenge. That's because it counts among its 36 Democratic members seven members of the Blue Dog Coalition," conservative Democrats that are opposing House Democrats' efforts in general on health care.

Mike Ross said that the bill doesn't include provisions adequate to curb rising health care costs including what the government spends on health care. So he says that his committee has the votes to block it. Yeah, well, he might think so, but he hasn't gotten a phone call from Rahm Emanuel yet. This really is going to be, I have to think, the overreach, the tipping point 'cause the Republicans can't stop this. Not with their votes. They might be able to do it in other ways. It's called television ads. I mentioned this chart in the New York Post earlier on the tax rates and what it's gonna cost various income levels in New York City where the top rate will go to 58%. And somebody at $80,000 a year in New York City will pay an effective 36% of their income in taxes. That New York Post chart, that graphic, I said, "If every newspaper in the country would put one of these together." Screw waiting on the newspapers, this is what the RNC ought to. Michael Steele ought to get busy getting some people to go to every major city and put this chart out and get it out in every city, what Obama health care is going to cost you, family of four, this income group, this income level.

You know, the Republicans have put together a pretty good flow chart to show the bureaucracy, but it's complicated. The numbers are what people will understand. How much it's going to cost them above and beyond what everything costs them now. Seventy-seven percent of the American people are happy with their health care. When they find out how much this reform is going to cost them, it could be killed. It's time to choose. Yesterday we said it. Got a great caller on this, said it's time to choose up here. Republican Party needs to put aside these little petty arguments over how they're going to go out and get that group to vote for them and that group and so forth. This is standing up for America and doing so, standing up for our traditions and our founding, standing up for the institutions and traditions that made and define our greatness. That's where their electability resides. That's where their reelectability is. Not in cherry picking votes from various groups with mindless little policy twitters.

There Can Be No Justice In Empathy

To Judge Sotomayor,

Your Honor, I am very concerned about your desire to have empathy as a jurist.

Article III, Section 2 of the United States Constitution states “The judicial Power shall extend to all Cases, in Law and Equity, arising under this Constitution, the Laws of the United States…”

Empathy isn’t mentioned there, nor in any other part of Article III.

And in some prominent cases adjudicated at the Supreme Court level where a form of prejudicial empathy was the rule above equal justice of the law, tragic rulings came down:

Dred Scott was NOT given justice, but rather the opponents of his case received the empathy that became a standard presumed law until the Fourteenth Amendment.

In Plessy v. Ferguson, a false empathy was schilled out to try to maintain a status quo while still not violating the constitution. But America had to learn that “Separate but Equal” can never truly be equal. If the Supreme Court had ruled with true justice, the farces of the Jim Crow laws would have been dealt with and done away with a lot sooner!

Again, in 1944, prejudicial empathy was applied when Fred Korematsu evade internment for being Japanese. Had true and equal justice been applied, this nation would have known what a horrible indecency it had done, again, because of racial discrimination.

Finally, in Brown v. Board of Education of Topeka, Justice was applied as the rule of law as one of the first steps in uniting the divided races of this nation. The Supreme Court didn’t apply empathy at all.

Why have the examples given been primarily about racial issues? With the nomination of Sotomayor to the Supreme Court, race has become an issue. Not because the citizenry of this nation is overwhelmingly racist, but because she herself has made racist comments and even ruled in appellate cases in an empathetic way based on race.

Political correctness and affirmative action has brought this country to a point in history where it is now racist to examine and criticize someone for behaving with a racist skew. At what point will we wake up from the dream Martin Luther King had about judging someone based on character and merit? When will we wake up LONG ENOUGH FOR THE DREAM TO BECOME REALITY?

There are no illusions about this, folks. She will more likely than not get confirmed and be an Associate Justice. But will she adjudicate with empathy or justice in the law?

Remember that the founders of this nation listed many grievances against King George in the Declaration of Independence. Not once did they call for empathy. Justice or Liberty was what they wanted and what they knew they deserved.

The U.S. Constitution didn’t set up anything based on empathy, nor did the Framers even think of empathy when debating the elements and attributes therein. Why?

For one reason and one reason only – JUSTICE IS BLIND, EMPATHY IS NOT.

Let Freedom Ring



On this day Thursday, July 4th 2013, our nation, The United States of America, is 237 years old. We have survived so many things that have destroyed so many other nations throughout history. We have even survived horrid and wretched things that we wrought on this nation by our own hands and even by the mere ink of pens. The peoples that first sparked the flame that ignited this nation 140 years before America was born sought to be free from whatever oppression they experienced. And when oppressed, the nature of our forefathers in this land was to fight bravely with courageous conviction to bring a new level of freedom that would have to continually grow and be fought over through the years, even until today.

All of us take precious freedom for granted…. And we should NOT! The freedoms we say we enjoy have been paid for time and time again by words, deeds and even by the blood of the ones we love. Freedom has NEVER been free.

Freedom cost the lives of those who strived in agonizing steadfastness to start this nation.

Freedom cost the lives of those enslaved Americans who were integral to the birth and growth of this nation – even though it was against their free will and caused some to have permanent stripes on their backs.

Freedom cost the lives of those who felt the Union was no longer that. And it cost the lives of those who fought to preserve it.

Freedom cost the lives of those brave adventurers who sought to grow this nation’s territory.

Freedom cost the lives of those who gave up all to keep other nations around this world free.

Freedom cost the dignity of those who have been downtrodden because of the color of their skin or the shape of their eyes.

And now freedom is on the brink of going bankrupt because there are so many in our government who have either squandered it or seized it outright for their own agendas.

This nation has been, is and will be the greatest nation this world has ever known. The “great experiment” that was born 237 years ago has long shown true success. By God’s grace, we have survived so very much, much more than other, longer-lived nations could. And that is what gives me hope. Not hope to change everything at the expense of the fruition of our greatest strides or even our tremendous struggles. But hope to continue the great successes we have had, hope to venture into and conquer the unknown and hope that we can and will improve upon those things in which there is always room for improvement. But the freedom to achieve all of that will cost one way or another. What more will freedom cost us?

Before we can begin to answer that or even think of appreciating the freedoms we say we enjoy, we first have to gain an appreciation for freedom itself and from where freedom originates.

Our Founding Fathers did indeed know and understand the truth and origin of freedom.

From the sermon on Liberty by Jacob Duche to Patrick Henry’s “Liberty or Death” speech, the source of freedom and liberty is proclaimed as God Almighty.

Even in the Constitution of the United States, in the context of those who wrote it and why, the phrase “…secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity…” gives direct acknowledgment to God Almighty as the provider of freedom.

The first amendment in the Constitution is specifically about the freedoms of certain entities not being controlled by Congress. Singularly, the freedom of religion is mentioned.

The debate over the “wall of separation” is not the important thing that it has been made out to be and is most often misunderstood and misrepresented. That is for another treatise at another time.

Since God is established as the author of liberty in whole, the freedom of religion is of His creation as well. By creating a government that would not interfere with the free practice of religion, the Founding Fathers gave ultimate credit and glory to God. Compared to every other religion in the world, which rely on the works of the follower to obtain salvation or advance to a higher existence, Christianity is a religion of freedom. Since Christ did it all by paying all, there is nothing that man can do to make himself a Christian. Man must accept his wretched depravity in sin and that Christ paid the price for that sin by dying on a cross. Christ broke the bonds of enslavement to deeds and indulgences so that mankind could be free to follow Him!

Our Founding Fathers knew that by letting religion be a choice in how and what we worship, and that such choice could only be given by a Holy and Perfect God, then those who would follow God would do so with a solemn and true repentance, surrendering their lives to the Divine Will of the Judge of the Universe. That is a level of precious freedom that is so blindly taken for granted in this nation today.

There are so many poems, stories and songs written about our nation as a nation blessed by God. And whether you believe in God or not is irrelevant. God IS AND WILL ALWAYS BE the Divine Providence of anything having to do with America’s success or failure.

Yes, failure! God’s ultimate purpose for mankind and especially Christians is for HIM TO BE GLORIFIED. And if this nation falls further and further into the depths of things that dishonor God, then our failure by His hands through our immoral and unrighteous actions, words and thoughts will be that which glorifies Him.

I urge each and every one of you Christians to first reconcile yourself to surrendering to God so that He can be glorified through you. And then promulgate the things that have always made this country thrive in striving for the highest of ideals that have continually led to America’s greatness.

Jesus confirmed that the Greatest Commandment was to love God with all your heart, mind, soul and strength. By doing that, along with following the Golden Rule of loving your neighbor (your fellow human beings) as you love yourself, God will be Honored and Glorified. And when non-believers see that in you, it will be like a magnet for them to understand why you are doing what God commands – which is not to connect with God (Jesus already did that by His sacrifice on the cross) but rather to make Him known so that others may know Him.

For you non-Christians, please know that it is a commandment for Christians to witness the Good News of Jesus Christ to you (we do that because we care about you and your eternity), and it is part of the freedom of religion in which we enjoy that privilege. But do worship as the dictates of your faith instruct, or don’t worship at all. Just remember that your right to worship or not as you please is a freedom that can only be given by a God who wants to be loved and glorified in freedom. Check to see if your faith allows for freedom of worship. If it does not, look into the one that does.

Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. – 2 Corinthians 3:17

For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery. – Galatians 5:1

Live as people who are free, not using your freedom as a cover-up for evil, but living as servants of God. – 1 Peter 2:16

As we begin another year in the life of this great nation, take a moment to reflect on freedom, where it comes from, and why it is so important. And enjoy the following. The song, “Let Freedom Ring” is one that captivates the essence of true freedom and gives Honor to Liberty’s Author.
